2014/15 winter prediction

These forecasts are garbage. You can't accurately predict what a winter will be like. A couple years back we were forecast to have a really great, snowy winter in Minnesota and we got the wettest, warmest, shittiest winter I've ever seen. Just cross your fingers and pray to the snow gods.

you guys will probly think im a loser, but where i live if theres a lot of box elder bugs in the summer, its going to be a good winter. and this year ive seen normal amounts of box elder bugs lol

You know that's a joke right?

Sorry for the double post but if that prediction is right then the west is not gonna be having it's best season this winter.

spent this season on the east coast and it was a huge snow year ( in Quebec ) and 2 seasons ago was in Whistler for the year and the snow was unreal and this past season it sucked, I'm no scientist or meteorologist or whatever, but I think west coast will get tons of snow this year

El Nino year.

Just look back at previous El Nino years to get a good idea of what could happen.

Super quick/brief idea of prcip is...

-Below average PNW

-Well below average north rockies

-Average/slightly above central west (tahoe, utah, CO rockies)

-Above for southern west

-East average

-Below average Mid West

FUCK below average snowfall for midwest? The 2nd one says average so I pray to go that that one is right

I'm banking on slightly higher temps (above fricken -30 degrees every other weekend). And possibly more precip from the el-nino that should inevitably develop. We won't get the attack of la nina- my personal favorite, but hopefully a snowier and slightly warmer winter could happen. But there's no knowing how the winter will play out, we had 40 degrees the last week of february 2014, then -30 the first week of march 2014.

Buffalo is supposed to get a few inches of snow in September. I'm not sure how our winter is going to be though. People are saying it'll be a long, cold, and snowy winter but my definition of a long and snowy winter is completely different. Well just have to see what happens.
