Im looking for a new set up for this season and i really want to try the new Chronic just because it can ski everything, which would be sick because i live in BC. Would the Marker Griffon Schizo be a good binding for the Chronic? If not i would love suggestions

if you plan on doing park at all, avoid the schizo. it has extra weight and extra parts that can break with heavy impacts.

Schizos are like Demo bindings. Not fully attached to the ski. Schizo is on a track thats attached to the ski.

Regular griffon bindings will do fine

This.

What do you weigh? Regular Griffons or Jesters would do the trick. I'm getting a pair of Chronics this year as well, probably mounting with 4FRNT (aka Head/Tyrolia) Deadbolt 15s

just go with regular griffons and save yourself a huge hassle. once the novelty of being able to adjust the binding position is gone, you'll never move the binding again

markers suck but for m ounting i would go either dead center or 2cm back its a matter of weather you are going to be 100% park or park and a decent amount of all mountain or pow

Misinformed words about the Schizo once again. They're fine, almost the same as normal Jesters. The toe rail on the Schizo has the same retention system as the heel on a normal Jester. And as long as you set them up properly and adjust correctly the heel rail is solid too. I've broken way more parts on FKS than Schizos in the last 5 years.

That said, unless you genuinely need to move the bindings daily, forget it. Get a centred park ski and a set-back fat ski.

i wouldnt. it has a sliding afd plate. and is all plastic. seen too many of these blow out to recommend them for a park rider.

sorry. im not the type of park rider who wants a plastic heel piece mounted to a plastic plate that is mounted to a ski. sounds like a crap idea to me...

my chronics are actually at the line rec spot -4. the guy at the shop told me if i didn't like the way they ski i can come back and he'd give me a whole new ski. it doesn't even look 4 back.

Don't buy marker's. They're the worst quality binding on the market. I've seen those garbage bindings break way too much. I've seen so many injuries come from these garbage bindings. They're terribly unsafe. Be smart and mount up some look px12 jibs or some pivot 14's.
