2013 Bcs Championship

Dude, SEC fans still care about their own teams. But you'd have to be a fool to ignore this:

1998-Tennessee over Florida State

2003-LSU over Oklahoma

2006- Florida over Ohio State

2007- LSU over Ohio State

2008- Florida over Oklahoma

2009- Alabama over Texas

2010- Auburn over Oregon

2011-Alabama over LSU

2012-Alabama over Notre Dame

It's not some fanatic banter, it's a very obvious pattern of success in that division. The SEC also won 5 bowl games of 8, no other division won 5 bowl games this year and no other division had the kind of competitive matchups the SEC did. That conference has been highly successful, you can't argue with it.

Obviously I'm not denying a lot of SEC teams have won championships. There have been some powerful teams in the SEC the past few years.

But you have people like Auburn fans, pretending that their godawful team is somehow validated by the fact that they are in the SEC, even though they would get trounced by most members of the not-so-B1G 12. There are a few great teams in the SEC each year, but too many dwell on wins from a few years ago, or try and ride on the success of others.

Just because a team is part of the SEC does not make it great, hell even high ranked teams proved they weren't necessarily as good as they thought they were when they reached bowl games (Florida).

Word, I see what you meant now. Ya, I can't really speak to that. I root for Air Force and Georgia until their seasons are over, and I didn't feel like Air Force was any better when TCU ran train a few years ago, don't get that.
