2013 Atomic Punx vs. Future Spins vs. Scott Jib

I scratched the hell out of my old ski bases, and those skis are 2 years old so their time is up. I have Salomon SPK 75 boots and Salomon Z12 Bindings. I want to know which ski would give me the lightest setup (I like light skis) and preferably stiffer flex, so if any of you have experience with these skis let me know.

The Scott Jib skis I am looking at are 178cm so is that too big for me? I am highly considering buying these skis unless someone tells me otherwise.

Punx for sure, I heard they are very stiff this year, also 178 should be fine (I'm around 5'11'' and have 181s)

Thanks for the advice, does anyone know about the Scott Jib? I want to know how durable/light they are because I am most likely going to get them.

Don't know much on the jibs, however the punx and future spins are both VERY light skis. The future spins are flexy though from what I could feel at my shop so of those two punx for sure.

Bump - I need info on the 178cm 2013 Scott jibs, if they are any good the deal I can get is very good I just need to know how durable they are.

The futre spin is the softest of the 3 I would say. The punx are much stiffer underfoot then either which makes them ride much better. You can hold an edge pretty well on old punx and it has only got better this season. The futre spin would e good if your small or after a really light very soft ski. Don't expect to be carving the futre spin hard.

That review on the Blister Gear website was for the Jib TW skis. I would like to know specifically about the actual Scott jib skis, durability and whatnot

Just goes to show you can't always go by the reviews. Especially when it comes to stiffness ratings, someone was saying on another thread that recoils were insanely stiff, yet I found them to be more of a mid flexing ski (I own much stiffer skis in my quiver).

You are right about the punx, they carve impressively well, although I haven't ridden the 2014's.

What's the deal with the future spin anyways? Line didn't think they had enough successful park skis with the chronic, TC and afterbang?

future spins have a firmer flex than the punx but the punx will be more stable I would say. If you want a stiff nose and tail just get the future sppins

Im guessing you have not skied them yet. The FS is very soft in the tip and tail and also unfortunately underfoot. Its stiffer then the TC and Afterbang but is still very very soft. The punx are stiffer underfoot and maybe slightly stiffer in the tip and tail, which makes them much more stable.

hand flexed both of them got to ride the punx. they are hella soft idk why people think they are stiff

I dont really think anyone thinks the punx are stiff. They are a soft ski they have been made stiffer so that may be why your seeing people saying they are stiffer. The future spin are silly soft though, they really need stiffening underfoot to help them hold an edge.
