2013-2014 gear

Can anyone who was at SIA confirm wether a light ~13DIN Guardian/Tracker will be in production for next year?

will most likely be upgrading my red TW hot doggers to next years theyre looking sick oh and 1,000 post claim

Ah right ok. Depending on how much I earn over the summer I might pick up a pair for a directional ~105mm touring set up. I conscious of keeping the weight down so I'm considering the 13DIN version. Would riding a 13DIN at DIN11 stress the spring too much?

Not sure if I rembember it right, but the weight difference was only a few hundred grams, 300 or something like that.

Per pair or each binding? Because if it's only 300g across the pair, I would just get the 16 to avoid even coming close to stressing the spring

And for anyone who's curious. The shreditor 112 is probably the funnest k2 ski I've ever ski'd. Actually its the only k2 ive ever liked haha Definitely lighter than most k2s and is super buttery but stable.

seriously? could that video be any more pointless. beyond the guy saying marker have come up with a binding to accomodate alpine and at boots there was nothing useful. the guy from marker was stood there with it in his hand, why not give us a closer look, a fly around, a demonstration, anything?

I don't see how it's convenient for anybody to have to go to the shop and have their bindings adjusted so they can switch from AT boot and alpine boot

For those asking about salomon, I may be able to help.

The Ghost Max 110, and 130 will be available next season. Its essentially a quest max clog with a Xmax upper cuff. They have rubber footboards, a 98-108mm last thanks to the custom shell, and both have an adjustable flex. They look good too which is always good.

There is a Gardian 13 next season. Pretty much teh same build jsut a lower Din range. Douglas has been on them for a while so see if you can find any of his pics. He has them on the new Rocker 108's.

Nice might buy the GM 110 or the BC 120, I tried some the other and they were so good, but I'm scared that they won't but as precise as my Lange rx130, but I'll see.

Do yo know if the guardian will have 3 stance? like the baron's: flat, 7˚, and 13˚. It would be awesome

if you want them to be like your langes look at the Ghost Max 130, or if you want the walk mode try the Quest Pro. We had a few round the shop this season and i would say they are close to a true 130 flex.

The gardian 13 is the same as the 16 so just 2 walk modes.

m pretty sure you wont and it will just be a case of adjusting the toe piece height, but for insurance reasons they have to say that the bindings should only be adjusted by an approved marker retailer/technician.

I don't think the concept of this binding is to allow skiers to go switching boots on the same pair of skis, as I know I'd rather ride alpine boots on an inbounds set up. Rather I think the binding is more designed to allow backcountry skiers to have an inbounds set up with a proper alpine binding without the need for a boot quiver. I also think it is designed for the increasing number of skier with these alpine/AT 'crossover' boots that have interchangeable sole blocks. As I know that many people are reluctant to go changing sole blocks as not to strip the threads. So the Lord would provide an option for these skiers that does not involve changing sole blocks.

I am basing these assumption off the picture and caption of the Lord on NS' SIACoverage, I haven't seen them in person, watched any product videos or spoken to any reps, so then again I might be completely off.

Yeh, pretty sure it's only in the tip, because I remember being surprised at the design considering it's a park ski. I suppose maybe tip rocker for Henrik's nose butters takeoffs, but traditional tail for stability on landings? That's the only possible reason I can think of.

Same symmetrical rocker would have been nicer. Without HH's name on the ski, just looking at the specs, you'd think it's more of an all mountain ski. Although I haven't skied so it would be unfair of me to go bashing it.

i was just riding w henrik and phil yesterday here in MN. It's got a pretty big early rise and it starts much farther from the tip than most early rise skis. also looks like its got a bit in the tail but it may just be the softness.

overall, they look pretty damn fun. but again, bummed on the lack of "symmetricalness"

you can see basically everything in there if you just search the hashtag #sagaleak on instagram. we put a lot of stuff up there while we were at SIA unveiling the 13/14 line. but feel free to show people whats in there. were hyped on all of it.

I don't want to post like 40 pics that will take way too long so pm me if you want pics of particular things! They are adding a puff coat but it only has 2,000 waterproofing and the 3l is standard fit no baggy fit anymore:( IMO the on deck looks the sickest

the k2 touring boot is actually pretty incredible. i had the pinnacle 130 on one foot and the spyne 130 on the other and they feel almost identical. not sure if anyone here has tried the quest max/xmax 120 but they feel quite different. when you put the pinnacle in walk most it is actually amazing. 10x better than the quest
