2013-2014 gear

I think you are right, comparing the width in the pic left and right of the binders I would say 120mm+

except its made out of a weird metallically fabric, and the anomie suits this year were not to attractive either IMO to many color and the pants looked like they had kneepads.

I'm on Mobile again but there's a picture on Instagram with someone carrying next years armadas. Might be henrik. Not sure though. Armada posted it though. It said something about a blog too.

Don't know how much of this has been posted already, but:

Arcteryx is coming out with an any airbag pack that uses a fan/battery instead of a compressed air system. This will likely save weight, and bring down costs, as well as allow air travel and solve shipping problems. Rumour has it Black Diamond will also do this, but not by 2013/14

Dynafit is coming out with a 16din binding that is super rad. Toe release, elastic travel, and a big price tag.

K2 is coming out with its own boot line: they also have touring boots that have an alpine compatible sole with tech inserts, so you don't have to swap sole blocks.

A couple other things that are really cool are coming out, but I am still under gag orders till SIA and the other trade shows...

I totally agree, Patagonia is legit as it gets, I own way too much of it, there's a store 2 blocks from my place and it makes me poor. But when it comes to skiing, they always seem to halfass it, at least in the style department. The goretex is there, most the features a skier would want are there, but most of them look like a Columbia jacket from the 90s. Arcteryx and trew have got it, I wish Patagonia would follow, because they're a sick company.

other colorway

lol I guess that last bit was pretty ironic... thall on skis on pow on thalls site with rasta coloured base... can't be anything else but his pow 2014 pro model --> Magic J or whatever they will call it

TCs on the left and Blends on the right, kind of disappointed in the Rasta-ness of the blend this year, its a bit of a cop out on line's part, really doesn't fit with anything else in the line either.

same as the chronic, i think 2mm with 4mm of camber. It could really benefit from a sintered base too, calling LINE!

I had a $200 rain jacket that lasted 2 years of slight usage. Will never buy Patagucci again. Quality is not there.

just wondering if anyone has seen any other color ways of the new twall jacket. i feel like it could be sick in other colors

Agreed. There's a legitimate reason that Patagonia's used gear on eBay is rarely a steal. They also have the collector crowd buying into the resale program. Nothing I've ever owned from Patagonia has ever fallen apart. Stuff lasts forever

I've had one pair of patagonia snow pants and the vent broke on me. So the one leg was stuck open

I went into the factory store in reno.

I talked to them, they were super cool, they hooked me up with a $400 pair of pants, while the pair the zipper broke on was $200.

They have lasted me so far and are the most amazing qaulity.

totally agreed. patagonias stuff is actually a lot better quality that most popular companies on this website.

it was supposed to be a colab. between the two companies as they both filed for separate pattens at the same time but decided to work together like the guardian/tracker binding deal.

Two things ::

1. Eric Pollard on new K2 outerwear -http://vimeo.com/56831157 2. Black Diamond developed/tested, then redeveloped/tested a tech binding of their own only do scrap the entire project deeming it not cost effective for their brand. Also, they are now making their own molds, in their own facility in Asia for their skis for the first time.

They aren't that bad you're right. I'll probably still get sent them cos they are my favourite ski in the Lineup, it's just a theme I wish would go away in skiing, I can't see how it has any place at all. In general I don't think the graphics are as good this year, except the Opus, which is amazing as ever. They are still the best skis out though!

i know, it's pretty much the first thing he's ever done I don't like but there we go. There is still a good chance I'll be riding them next year.

Sorry about the dub post

Looks like a hot prospect for my new tech touring set up for next season

+k for you sir. Thanks for the support. I'm on mobile and can't ever get that isht to work. Also, I must agree with you about that possibly being my next touring ski. I will have to demo it and see how it feels.
