2013-2014 gear

Yea so dope in person! Also my brother talked to Henrik and he will have a promodel ski next year (not b and e just Henrik), he also was wearing a black jacket with some dark brown camo which looks pretty dope!

Saw next years JJ's for Armada today. They have a like a rhino truckbed lineing on the top sheets of the ski. Didn't get to snag a picture but even still it was pretty sick.

Probably, i have no clue because the shop I work at doesn't carry armada's/ I don't see a lot of people with Armada skis that go ski powder. So yeah thats probably the case. New to me at least. But thank you for pointing this out to me before I made more of a fool of myself.

Yeah and I doubt K2 would be so cheap to just use old molds and put their name on it. Ski boot molds are extraordinarily expensive and I would think K2 would have the money to fund a boot lineup.

This years rx 110s.

If nothing they have a very similar appearance. And while i understand what you're saying about k2 making a new boot mold, don't they own full tilt? They had no problem using an old mold there.

Yeah I guess that's super true. These new boots though, the soles, and some of the overlapping portions just seem to be different, emphasis on the soles/bottom of the boot.

The boots featured in that article picture look totally new aswell and I like the ratcheting power strap it has.

Either way I hope they're new boots from fresh molds. If not the meh whatever.

ya that does look pretty new. what are the +/- of having a tech sole built in? are there any? like the technica cochise sp vs the quest max.

These look sweet as.

Might have to invest, probably put a Salomon Ghost top buckle on them though! That little one looks like a problem child..

These boots are specific to K2- they are not Lange molds, but they did claim to borrow their design heavily from them in their press release/5 questions. They also blatantly ripped off the Tecnica power strap.

What they are doing that is unique is putting tech inserts into a din sole. I've heard that this is a problem for alpine bindings though because the alpine norm does not allow it or something like that, which is why companies have had to use swappable soles in the past. I also don't know if I like it... it's great not to have to swap soles out but I still want a rubber bottom on my a/t boot. I don't want to scramble on rocks with a slippery hard plastic bottom.

Honestly, even though full tilts aren't, they have done an awesome job with their marketing and team selection, making most uneducated buyers come to the consensus that they are "freestyle" boots. If people want to convince themselves that, it's just fine with me.

Sat next to two fairly inexperienced looking skiers on a chairlift the other day and heard them say,

1:"yeh i want to do freestyle"

2:"ah you have to buy full tilts if you want to do freestyle"

1:"i've never even tried it before so yeh"

So yeh, their marketing team seem to be doing something right that's for sure.

Henrick was wearing a black and brown camo jacket today.

It looked good with the green and black pants he wears in the olympics video

this looks way more like a cochise 110... weird k2 seems to be pulling from multiple different companies in their designs

Yea next years nordica stuff looks really sick, I got to take a sneak peak at next years stuff at work. They have a few new skis, so keep ur on the look out!
