2012: The Movie

Last night, My friend and I were going to see Quantum of Solace and were 10 minutes early so we were sitting there watching the previews. The last preview is the world getting flooded and it ends saying "2012 The Movie or whatever" I am not saying I believe in the world ending in 2012 but do any of you? and will you see the movie? Also what would you do before 2012 to make sure that your life would be good?
 
i cant wait till the day after the worlds supposed to end so i can say "ha, i told you nothing would happen" but just to be safe, my game plan is to smoke mad weed, fuck mad bitches, and drink mad booze. BAM
 
yeah I saw the same trailer, with the ocean flooding over the Himalayas or something and the monk ringing the bell...It was pretty epic looking.
And yeah Bond was probably my favorite so far I loved it!
 
I didn't see this ad? Do they show different previews everywhere?

As for 2012, fuck it. If we die we die and there wont be anything we can do about it.

AMazing movie as well and I was talking to my friends dad and he was telling us how he had about 10 of those threats when he was our age and they had the whole nuclear warfare thing going on too so I don't think too much of it. but maybe the Mayans just forgot to finish the rest of the calander or something ha
 
I think its horribly stupid that they are making a movie about 2012...

does it actually say anywhere that the world is going to end in 2012? from what iv been told is says the world is going to change.

its pathetic Hollywood wants to make money off that and scare people/turn it into something soo stupid. (btw i have no clue whos making the movie, iv seen one add and dont want to know shit about it)
 
Well the Mayan calendar ends in 2012. but like what i think is funny is theyre civilization is gone. like there is no country of Maya, no Mayan empire why do we think there calendar has all the answers
 
wrong. it just changes from one "age" to the next "age", like 4th to 5th or something (might be eras, not ages, or something else, i forget the exact word, and number), so they're predicting a change, not and end to the world
 
i also saw jame's bond and it was fucking sick. but did anyone notice the lack of bond gadgets??

and that trailer scared the shit out of me. The whole water flooding over the himila's like the image was too epic. honestly like its scary to think about.
 
I seriously don't believe a word of what these crazy mayans are saying.

Why would it end in 2012 anyway? and How?

damn, that looks like a good movie, kind of like The Day After Tomorrow.

Im not saying i believe in it, but it looks pretty cool. any ideas of a release date?
 
wow yah that image of the mountains flooding is really epic and kinda scary i guess. I think that they will get a huge amount of money from this movie and scare every single person who doesnt know anything about the Mayan calender.
 
How could the even make a movie about that...? Just an hour and a half of scenes of water flowing over different parts of the world? Awesomee
 
If this does happen i will be pissed becuase I will have gone through 13 years of school and for nothing hahaha

yeah I noticed that too. But I read an interview somewhere and the producers were saying how they wanted to keep it simpler and make it more of just a straight up action thriller. I think they succeeded. The big table and wall that was like a giant touch screen computer/phone thing was pretty high techy though...
 
the world is not going to end by an environmental event like that preview shows. If the world really does end in 2012, which IS POSSIBLE, it will be because of us. It will be a nuclear explosion or something along those lines. If the wrong people get their hands on weapons, we might all be fucked.
 
this is why the new bond movies are good. the brosnan era just got ridiculous with the stupid gadgets. it was like a violent disney movie. the new bond is more visceral and raw, and just more badass

John Cusack is reason enough not to see it.
 
This summer I spent two months in Mexico and I met a group of Mayan shaman's who were on some sort of retreat before they went to some convention at Yellowstone national park to talk about 2012. I only spoke to five of them, but they explained to me that they do not think the world will end, the think a new calendar will start and we will all transcend into a new plane of consciousness. When I spoke to them it was unclear what this new plane would be, as the point of the convention was to discuss that, since it has already been agreed upon that we will transcend into a new plane of consciousness. I am not saying I believe it, I am just shedding some light onto their belief. Predictions though, new way of thinking, Ron Paul 2012'!

maybe i'll watch it in 2013.
