2012 postponed, all rejoice!

pretty sure it was never going to be the end of the world, just a paradigm shift in human tthought and conciseness

i'm pretty sure i found the real date the world will end.

my 2010 calendar goes blank after dec. 31st, 2010. So the world must end that day otherwise it would keep going.

...see how stupid this whole thing is?

good god...you cracked the code.

alright everyone, gather up your calendars and toss em on the pile. If we burn them, the world will never end.

Actually the reason the calender ended is because they predicted the world we end dumbass. it has nothing to do with them just stopping the calender. Many other religions predicted it also.

Not saying i believe in it though

i dont care what they say, december 21st is the day its supposed to happen, so, im skiing, annnnnd fuckin a bitch at the same time.

which is why they selected a round stone. because they knew it would afford them limitless space and they could keep adding on.

how do we know there wasn't another calendar, that picked up where this one left off, but was destroyed/lost over time?

I don't believe in it either, but there's just too many holes in the story for it to be considered even remotely feasible.

"The bad news for prophecy believers? If the calendar doesn't end in December 2012, no one knows when it actually will - or if it has already. "

lol. worlds already ended guys

Though I do not believe in 2012 at all it kind of creeped me out when I watched some documentary about the earth. Apparently there is a trend of mass extinctions every 30 million years because the earth around that time floats through a large asteroid field (not sure if that is exactly it, but something a bout a busy place in space). Also LA is overdue for some earthquake as is Yellowstone overdue for a volcanic eruption. And it has been more than 30 million years since mass extinctions occured. Actual facts here.

But whatever. Screw 2012.

ive read we have discovered that the mayans have specificaly said that 2012 is "the ending of one time and the begining of another" what does that mean? well its up to you until the time i guess. but we have also noticed that they have had some sort of contact with another "being" whether its aliens or what we dont know. im not saying i believe in it, im just indifferent and open minded. but it would be pretty sweet if something did happen and 'the begining of a new time" did happen

The ancient mayan spirits are all like "Sorry bros, we're gonna be a little late killing ya'll, so uh... just chill for like 50 years or so"

The Mayans stopped in 2012 cause thats when they thought their calendar cycle will restart. We've made it all the way around and now we're on the top of the cycle again.

the mayan calender would have had to end sometime like why the fuck did it even go to the supposed 2012 or even longer the calender writer clearly had no life

mayan 1: "bro imagine if people in the future saw this and ACTUALLY thought the world ended at the end of our calendar?"

mayan 2: "shut up. no one's THAT retarded."

funny thing is that we use calendars all the time that end on dec. 31st and the world keeps ticking. so what again makes the mayan one so magical? because they were smart? yup, that's a whole lotta sense right there.

If the mayans could have predicted the end of the world, then shouldn't they have predicted their own demise at the hands of european settlers?
