2012 Line Mastermind Questions

Hey guys, I've been skiing since I was little, but am looking to get more into park. I still want a ski that can perform well on groomers though. I'm 5' 10" 120 lbs, and still growing a little bit. I have been looking at the 2012 Line Masterminds, but I was wondering if it runs bigger or smaller than listed. I am choosing between the 167s and 177s. Also, would the Marker Free Tens fit on the Masterminds (85 mm waist)? Also I want the skis to last me the next two seasons (15-20 days each). Thanks for your help!

masterminds run true to size. 177 is the way to go for you. you're not very heavy, but the ski is so soft and so light that you'll have no problems buttering around or spinning new tricks on them. and you'll be able to grow a bit over the next couple seasons and not instantly outgrow your skis. durability won't be an issue at 15-20 days a season. so enjoy, they are super fun skis!

and yes, the bindings will fit. 85 waist is pretty narrow and you can always bend the brakes a touch to fit if you need to. although you might want to look into a 12 din binding if you're planning on bulking up over the next couple seasons.

Also, should I get them mounted true center? I'm gonna be doing 50/50 park and groomers, If that makes a difference.

Would recommend armada el-ray or k2 sight. Will outlast mastermind and ski better. k2 sight has sidewall, and armadas are just plain good.

Any advice on where I should have them mounted? I want to have it so that I can have control and balance on groomers, but still be sufficient in the park.

Center you still have great control on groomers and even in pow so I'd do that and like said before go with the el Rey best ski you could ever get for the price

Center is good for park and sucks for groomers. A bit (1" or so) behind center is still good for park but doesn't suck for groomers. Don't center mount.

Also Marker Free Tens are gonna suck for park and break so easily. I recommend looking at better bindings, for example the Marker Griffons or Jesters.

Also if you're serious about groomer performance, I think you would be a lot happier with the Chronics instead of Masterminds.
