We've got 18 pages on what we're wearing to look cool, but nothing i can find on what we're wearing to ski better, so here we go:

been on doggers for the last two seasons and i just don't like the intuition liner. too soft, can't get my foot held properly. pretty set on some of these bad boys.

gonna make my own, probably cork, boot board, and i'm gonna have some dope ass plastic on my feet.

what are you folks wearing? buying new? keeping old? i'm curious to see if many other people are looking for something outside of a freestyle boot to get better support.

Tecnica Cochise 120s w/Intuitions

Tecnica Agent BC120s w/Intuitions & WC Booster straps

Dalbello Krypton Pros w/Intuitions & WC Booster straps(for sale)

Damn... 10/11 Full Tilt First Chairs w/ #8 and #10 flex. Took of the lousy FT straps and added some Booster straps.

haha, my friend put boosters on his lange rx 130s, so i took his straps and put them on my doggers, and they're probably gonna go on my new boots as well.

12/13 FT Twalls, stupid cable covers taken off, #10 flex added, and WC Booster Straps. Booster Straps on Full Tilts are were it's at, makes them ski more like a real boot with the comfort of a FT.

Still wearing last years Dalbello VooDoos. Maybe lookin to step up again though, not stoked with its lack of a booster strap and it's overall fit.

Finally getting rid of my beat dalbello Kryptons after 5 seasons and either getting the new seth morrisons or ace of spades. Need to try em both on soon. All I know is that I'm never going back to a standard overlap boot after being in a 3-piece.

I feel like a complete noob and dumbass for asking but what exactly does a booster strap do for you? I am from Europe and never seen them before. Thanks for helping me out. Oh an OT i'll be wearing the same boots as last year some FT Dropkicks with flex 10 tounges and without the cable covers.

Some SPK creations from a few seasons ago.. Might get some of last years technica Cochise for 40% off whenever I start my job this winter

I had the spark version, good boot for sure. I changed to a hot dogger last year and it's holding my foot better, but I liked how my ankle fit in the nordicas. I might try to customize my boot a little this year.

:O Please do up a how to. I love Hoji's franken-boot deal, so stuff like this is awesome to hear. And while people advise against it, we will never get anywhere if we don't experiment. The more people who experiment, the more likely were going to find something that works AWESOME.

I had the spark version too (orange from way back when). They were nice. Too soft for me though, and actually ending up getting destroyed. Ie. blown buckles, blown rivets, essential plastic cuffs missing. Oh well, that was forever ago

i've decided to go a bit the experiment route because i hate most of the freestyle boots on the market. they don't really work right. the liners are soooo thick and soooo soft and they just don't give me the performance i feel like i could have. so i'm hoping a moderately stiff race-style boot with a kick ass leather liner is going to do this trick. a race bootboard would obviously suck for the kind of skiing i'm doing, so that's where the cork/maybe some other material comes in. it's not real hardcore boot work, but i think it's going to get me a pretty dope boot.

Depends, are you trying to stiffen up your boot, or just add a bit of flex to the top of the boot, or soften the boot?

This page is going to be the most helpful for this:

http://www.boosterstrap.eu/the_choice.html

Generally, if you want to just add a bit of flex you go with the recommended one for your weight/skier type (see the chart at the bottom of that page), if you want to stiffen the boot, go up one stiffness, if you want to soften the boot, go down one stiffness (unless that means going from "soft" to "kid"...don't do that).

yea, the sparks were the softest of the supercharger line. My ignitions are at like 300 days and still going strong. Id be surprised if i dont get 1000 out of em at the level of wear they have now

Except without the ridiculous cable covers

Might have to punch them this year since my feet grew wider. Good boot overall.

I'm saying this. Fucking this. Fucking this.

I have this same fucking set up. THIS IS WHAT DREAMS ARE FUCKING MADE OF.

my feet are 106mm wide, so this is one of the only options for me.

great boots though. soft, yet responsive if you crank the top buckle.

i just got booster straps for them, and the flex is way smoother. fuck velcro.

Aha shit man, in the midst of building my ski press, I've been thinking about this statement, and my boots. Last year towards the end of the season it felt like I needed to take up some space in my boots, so I went around looking for rubber matt, never found anything. Today in some of my old shit, DISCOVERED A HUGE ROLL OF CORK! I love working with cork =..D I'll report back how they feel when I'm done....

Good to see lots of people using boosters. Best $30 you can spend on your boots. Couldn't imagine skiing without em now.

Moving from the red T-wall Hotdoggers to the Blue pair and one size bigger because they fit me well. Also added a booster strap this year so I'm excited to try them out.

1980 raichle flexons so og gonna put some boosters on them and might dye the tongues black if i can figure out how to take them off. with the good liners not the traditional ones in this picture
