2011 suspects

just got my suspects from this year warrentied and salomon is sending me a pair of these
1. will the edges turn to shit like they did on my other skis2.did they do anything to improve the edges

The past two seasons the suspects and dumonts were made in China...this year they're made in Austria, should be much better quality. The reason the edge armour failed (for those that don't know, edge armour is basically metal strings that were supposed to hold the edge in place) is because the strings were too tight, so when the edge pulled out, the string snapped and recoiled through the base (thing of a guitar string breaking). I've been told that this problem was fixed - not sure if that means they just loosened the strings or took them out completely. I'm gonna wait before I buy them, but I have always wanted to try out suspects, but the durability has been a concern for me, if they fixed it for real, I think more about picking up a pair.

so this year as in 09/10, or this year as in 10/11? sorry, im stupid. i ask because my suspects (09/10) so far have held up better than my armadas by far, so if the durability will only improve, ill be going with salomon again cause their skis ride so nice, even if the durability is sometimes shit.

08/09s and 09/10s were made in China with tight edge armour, 10/11s are being made in Austria and will have no edge armour.
