2011 Subaru WRX/STI

Haha I just read though this thread and it was awesome. Reminds me a lot of the Australia house/surfboard/girl/car thread.

I was looking for some info on STI's because I am going though a quarter life crisis and I want a fast, every day car that I can take skiing.

I know most kids are 16 on this site but has anyone had experience with leasing a new STI, or leasing in general?

Also P-Dog, I skied 145 days last year and I drive a better skyline than yours.

blah blah blah roof racks, but the hatch on new stis offers more room.

and if youre looking for a neew car lemme toss out a 2.0t xwd saab 9-3, if you can swing it you get a quik little shit, good awd system, and a interior 10x nicer than an sti(imo)

evo's just drive and handle soooo much better. any evo before the 10 is awesome. the saab is cool, but saab has gone so far away from what they used to be, now they are just numb, boring cars that happen to be somewhat quick

Such a sick car. My friend got the hatch but drives it like a little bitch. And by little bitch, I mean speed limit or 2-5 under. Its a damn disappointment.

How is the reliability of an EVO, it seams like whenever I see them on the road they are really beat up. What is a better daily driver the STI or the EVO 10?

if it were between an sti and evo 10, i dont know im pretty much 50/50. i like the evo 8 and 9 ALOT more. reliability wise. i know people with both, in general it seems like the evo takes a little bit more regular maintenance. where the sti's have more big problems. just out of the people i know 2 people have had to replace the transmission in their sti, one guys tranny is going out, and one blew his motor. id say they are pretty equal in terms of reliability.
just get an 8 or 9 and you will pay half the price for a much better car.

evo8-10 come with forged internals good to 500 whp where my sti blew at like 400 :( there good in that department but i love the looks of my sti compaired to the evo

I dont think you can lease a new STI due to the way people drive them. Or at least thats what they told my stepdad here in CT. So we leased a Wrx and are very happy.

pop those fuckers in the Thule, I love my 09 wagon sti, you can fold down the back seats and use them to "build legos in" if you know what I am saying..........

cause I got this new lego set of the star wars fleet and it requires more space than what it available in the sedan
