i always thought north face made normal, sensible, conservative technical gear, not awesome stuff like this. maybe theyre using wallish to reach out to a whole new market. i think helly hanson did something similar a few years back with their products

causwell is pretty sick. but what trend is he following? next to nobody has that jacket (that i've seen at least) except for the pro athletes that everybody follows.
 
i was actually really close to getting this jacket and some yellow pants when i first saw it. then tom signed on to north face and ended up with that jacket. i didnt feel like looking like a pro ho.

you're a moron. the financial side of it is obvious. im talking about a company that used to only make gear that your dad would wear reaching out and making good looking gear like this, at the risk of alienating their original market.

They advertise for this jacket on basicly every train station in the Netherlands, I have seen it in London aswell. Sick jacket although I don't really like the colors

it's all obvious my friend. its not gonna alienate their "original" market in any way. you see gapers on twintips all over the place. ns.com is about the only place where people actually give a shit about all this image bullshit. the average skier would buy a piece of clothing if they liked it and they deemed it good value for money, and will continue to do so regardless of which superpros the tweeny thugs on ns worship.
