Looking at purchasing some 2011 K2 Kung Fujas 179's after demoing them SIGNIFICANTLY over the past 2-3 weeks and loving them. However, these are the skis that I have been riding...

K2 is unfortunately sold out of the Fujas so if I want some 2011's I'll have to find them online or used. I was looking at an ad for 179's and noticed this picture...

Now the bottom coat on the 2nd pair is black, not white like the ones I have been riding that are for sure legit. Is there anything I should be concerned with?

or the k2's you've been demoing are specific directly from k2 for that purpose. I would think reps get skis ready for demo and release them for spring and the upcoming year with small differences.

THANK YOU! That's what I assumed, different color bases for different lengths....I think they may be misrepresented and the seller is mistaken on the size.

LOVE THE FUJAS!

im thinkin about gettin this same ski too and using it as my jib ski on top of whatever else i do. im sure its fine for jumping but how good is it on rails? is it heavy and tough dance around on?

I'm not sure how they perform on rails - I ride big mountain, powder, frontside, and groomers - don't spend any time in the park. They are a fantastic performing ski EVERYWHERE for me, but not sure how they would do in the park. I imagine being Pep Fujas pro model, they'll probably suit you fine.

K2 die cuts their bases, in order to limit material waste they alternate the color's of the die cuts. Check out Hellbents from the past... 4 years?
