2011 - Hellbent VS SFB

I gonna buy some AllMtn/Powder skis and have quite nice deal on 2011 Hellbents and 2011 SFB. Both will be mounted about 15mm from dead centre of ski. Which one will be better ? I like skiing backwards, butters, some tree jibs, etc(EP style). That ski should complete 2010 Anthem as my quiver for everything. Note: There is not always much pow in my country.

from what you've described, I'd say the SFBs are more suited to your needs. Especially compared to the new bents which are now wider and stiffer.

I wouldn't really call the Hellbents an all-mtn ski...as in: they wash out so easily on hardpack, they have sooo much rocker and especially if there isn't too much pow you don't really need the hellbents imo.

What's your length and weight? Because if you wanna ski the SFB's switch (in pow) you might want to get a little bit longer than you would usually get. I don't know the rocker profile of the tails on the sfb's but I don't think there'll be much.

I'm 5'7" 165/7 lbs. Maybe I should precise - where i live there is not always so much pow, but when it is it is about 5-7' so not bad IMO. SFB's rocker is 15mm/27.5cm tip&tail as I remember. I'd like to go with 182 SFB or 179 Hells. Personally I'm litlle bit more into Hells cause I like green colour (yeah, I know it is totally stupid). I really don't know what would be better for BC jumps and trees. First I wanted Ep Pro but don't have enough money.

If you don't get to ski powder very often I would look into getting a true all mountain ski. However, the 2011 Hellbents have regular camber under foot so they will probably ski better on groomers than the older hellbents do.

SFB is way more versatile than either the 'Bent or the EP pro. If I didn't spend all my money on ON3P, the SFB would definetely be on my shortlist/

why dont you look at this years kung fujas or last years bridge, both will be good in pow aswell as slay the groomers

false, K2 only started doing this last season.

they have had "zero camber, or flat" under foot, but never the true "powder rocker" as K2 calls it.

suck on my pee peeeeeeee.

I had Bents from a few years ago as well and I think they are just 0 camber instead of actually cambered. I could be mistaken but this is the first year they started doing it.

People should really be careful using the name 'bents', as they could refer to either Hellbents or Bent Chetler's. Especially because 99% of the time they're both mentioned in the same topic... Good thing it's clear in this case - everybody know's Chetlers have camber too.

OT: Get some SFB's bro!
