2011 gear

wooow, those edges are deeply molded. i dont think i'll consider surface in the future either.

line skis are legit though, the ones i got all broke but they warrentied them so its cool. i ended up owning three pairs of invaders for the price of one haha

wow i was really interested in surface skis for next year. now i kind of want the Da'Nollies or AR7. I would be really interested in 2012s if Salomon didnt have such a bad rep for durability.

yea there actually called the "ar7" and theres not going to be an ar6 next year. Its pretty much the ar6 but right under the foot is sidewall while the rest is capped........

The s4 is more or less the same as last year, just with new grafics, no point changing what works amazing. I REALLY wanna actually hold some of the new pow skis. the rep here in ny wont pick any skis up till he can let the shops have them or you get the specfic one (not a problbem with the s4) so im out of luck with seeing the different ones till some shops start getting them in :(

so i demoed pretty much every cool ski for next year and here's what i have to say. im going to leave out all the mediocre skis for times sake and focus on the really good and the really bad.

salomon 2012: holy BALLS! by far the most fun park ski i rode all day. super snappy, poppy, light, and the perfect amount of rocker for a park ski. most fun i have had on a park ski in a while.

salomon shogun: super stable aggressive ski that rips all around, but the same as this years so, nothing new.

rossignol S7: i think just a new graphic, but i have to say, for a pow ski these things are incredible! they felt way better in between the pow stashes than any other pow specific ski and were twice as playful once in the powder. i think the playfulness comes from the huge ballooned tip and the pin tail, but that was also the cause of the only complaint i have on these skis, the switch pow landings werent up to par with the closer to symmetrical pow skis. still amazing!

rossignol s3: complete let-down, rossis mid-fat rocker all mountain ski was in my opinion a pretty huge failure. feels SUPER hooky and unpredictable at any speed at all and the flex is funky.

K2 obsetheds: super fun ski, but be warned, these have a TINY running length! the rocker begins almost immediately in front of the bindings and is giant compared to last years. these skis own everything though. even with the big tip and tail rocker i had no problem with highspeed charging through cruddy junk. very cool ski!

K2 KungFujas: WHAT THE SHIT? i dont know about you guys, but i like skis that have tails moderately stiffer than cardboard because thats what they felt like. they were softer in the tails than abangs and even vaders. scary shit.

K2 revivals: rockered PE's, no? well thats what they felt like, not my cup o tea.

atomic Bentchetlers: big, fat, and awesome! super floaty, unique flex pattern (in a good way) and suprisingly fun in the park. (but by no means a park ski) loved them!

atomic Blogs: CHARGE! thats all i have to say.

Elan Bomerangs: if you need a ski for charging wide open pow with little need to turn, these giant planks are what you need.

elan pogo: not really anything to like about these skis, and theyre heavy.

Volkl ledge: second favorite park ski. this ski is just asking to be slayed on the rails and jumps, trust me.

Rossignol S4 and S5: unchanged and still sick as ever. s4 is ill in the park and the s5 kills at everything. plus, judging by the years past s4 and 5 these skis are BOMBPROOF!

it was a good day and ill be back out tomorrow so if anyone has a request for an in depth review of a specific ski let me know and ill demo it if its there!

no problem. ill put together a list of skis that NS wants demoed and ski them all tomorrow,

and ill just take this chance to reinstate how awesome the 2012's are! redic!

could you please try the armada halo and ar7 (if they are out there)

and maybe see if anything has changed with the salomon suspects ? and also there new pipe ski? any of these would be awesomely appreciated!

strangely enough, armada was supposed to be there, but according to the reps from all the companies, armada doesnt really do demos so i dont know, they might be there tomorrow only or not at all. i really do want to ride the halos though.

i dont know if the suspect has changed but i know it is going to be 100$ cheaper and it was a good, fun, light, park ski but hard to keep up with the 2012's which i thought were better in almost every aspect.

ill let you know what the deal is with armada after tomorrow.

i have tons of eyecandy for you guys!!!!

The K2s revivles were really boaring skis nothing impressive at all
the ledges were ill on rails, and really fun carving skis
the walls were overall sick skis
the bentchetlers were some of the most fun (and backflipable) pow skis ever
The S7s were super playfull in the gnar
The S3s sucked
The kungfugas sucked
The obsethed were SUPER rockerd and really fun
The blends were a super fun charging skis
The afterbangs were super sick on jumps and rails
But the best of the best were the 2012s they are by far the best park skis i have ever riddin everything about them was perfect, i cant think of enough good things to say about em.

sorry

and i know that the 2012s are 91 underfoot and have a medium amount of flex ( similer to suspects, but a tiny bit softer)

my bad, i forget about the pics sometimes,

but the 2012s had just enough rocker/camber/width and insane pop which all came together to make one sick ass ski. its really hard to explain and you really need to get on a pair for yourself to understand.

nah man def not sick at all, i would say they are like public enemies with some early rise in the tips, just another super bland ski from k2.

he is retarded haha
but they just had the perfect amount of rocker, and SO MUCH POP let me repeat that SO MUCH POP, and absolutely no swingweight, every single person who tried them at the demo said they were gonna get em next season, they are for sure the best skis ever made.
