2011 gear

Just read this, and armada looks awesome. and this orage vest too (yellow grey purple ). Plus, some new custom outriggers in one of the pics looks really sick ( oakley ).

Mega Dozer from Scott.

117mm under foot same narrow tail (as Kuro).

Best cool graphics of 2011.

Light blue with trash black skibum (kind of).

Forget about the Frenchy. Take a look!

Sickest of next year.

The first twin-tip ski was the Olin Mark IV Comp introduced in 1974, before both Line and K2 - but Line and K2 modernized it.

This is getting way off topic for new skis, but as you see below, twin tips are not new. Long after this wooden beast, Olin made their ballet twin tip. K2 brought out the Poacher way back in 1996. Salomon had the 1080 for sale in 1998 and LINE didn't have twin tip skis until 1999 when they had the Ostness Dragon and the white 1260.

b-dog's jacket looks disappointingly short, I was really hoping for an extra tall jacket from him.. Maybe it's just the picture..

true. idk, its hard to tell just hanging there, ill wait till we get measurements. with tj gone, it would make sense to make his promodel tall

Did anyone notice the Atomic 614 binders? They have a toe piece like this years STH 16/FFG 16. Hopefully Salomon/Atomic is bringing back that toe piece on some lower DINed models, the new toe pieces with the individual wings kinda suck from what I hear.

Liberty, well, seeing as it's already on freeride.se I should be ok to post.

Left to Right: Genome (last year's graphic, 2011 is different) - 141mm underfoot, rocker, standard camber and sidecut underfoot.

Double Helix 182 - 120mm underfoot

Morphic - Hazmat replacement, 93mm underfoot

Jinx (Female-specific)

well this is just my guess, but he usually rides the alphas, which has taper and rocker...which makes that ski ride a lot shorter than its actual length. so, maybe he got used to the shorter riding ski and likes that better, so he rides a shorter ski when he get on the non-rocker, non-taper park ski

did that make any sense?

Makes sense to me...but I'm not sure I think a pro would want small sticks anyway! He goes so big I feel like landing on a ski that short would be like riding snollerblades. Those skis look SO short!!!

i feel like jossi wells would be a good enough skier to ski an ar6 with 5 cm of running surface added to each tip...

shorter ski forces him to land under his feet, not on his tails/tips, so he may be doing it for training reasons to make his landings better

El Camino was the shit when it came out, I also wanted them so bad. It wasn't mass produced as a twin-tip but I believe there was a a limited edition run of them as twin-tips before they released the enemy and some other twin-tips, so technically it was K2s first twin, if I remember correctly.

El Camino came out the same year as the Poacher. They shared the same tip graphic and as you can see in the picture of Andy, it is reversed on the tail on the Poacher. El Camino was flat tailed. The Poacher was followed by another version of the ski in a black graphic and then it was white and looked like a surfboard and was called the PipeLine. The Enemy (all black one) didn't come out until 99-00.

wait, has everyone forgetten about these bad boys? maybe they will be available next year? i really hope so cus they look ill.
