2011 Full Tilt Booters

I have a question about these boots- I have them molded, have a footbed in the bottom(shop's idea), and have rode in them right around 10 times total and I still have a serious pain. I heard Full Tilt takes awhile to break-in and in the process it might be painful. But I got out on them this past weekend and they absolutely killed my feet. Right above my heels, actually. Last year the pain was there and in my arches, but the arch pain has kind of subsided.

I really like these boots, also they cost a bunch. But if they're going to always hurt, I'd rather just sell them. Buy a pair of originals, probably. But come on NS, do they need a few more times to break in? Am I just not used to them because it was my first day this season? Or what the fudging fuck is going on?

K+ to all answers, because I have a big dick.

Thanks!

if its really that bad, i really doubt that packing out will help that much. but i would give it little while and see how it goes

my hotdoggers took about 14 days of skiing and then a few days off before they stopped being uncomfortable. I think it has a decent amount to do with your feet being out of shape after summer, and any boots will hurt the first couple days of skiing every year. I get to go through that process again with my knew Konflicts in 36 hours woooot!! hoping it won't be nearly 14 days this time... i've been doing alot of climbing and yoga and my feet feel way stronger than ever before.

give it at least 5 more days before you decide to sell them, probs more than that. At like day 20 or 25 if they don't feel better, you have the wrong boots and you should sell them and get properly fitted for new ones!

You sir are a gentleman and a scholar. Thank you for the advice! I'll give them 10-15 days as suggested. I hope they do better as I start skiing more.

Also, I hope you enjoy those Konflicts! I want a pair so bad!

I must've been lucky because I bought boosters got then molded and got a footbed done and had no pain within the first 3 days of riding

I've skied on mine for about 5 to 6 days and and I was wondering the same thing also ie only skied them on my summer setup, which was a bad idea because the blue on my hot doggers heels got stained from the grass and the plastic is soft so it gets dinges up easily but I'm glad I found this thread beacse they were starting to hurt

Ehh they dont take that long to break in.....did you get them fitted properly? Doesnt sound roght aftet by that many times....i got booters last year and it took like 2 or 3 days tops

I fitted them correctly. My left arch is just semi-crushed and my right arch is 3/4's crushed. So I just need to start using support while skiing. I'll try them a few more times then probably put them up for trade with cash for Full Tilt High Fives.

ya last year with my hott doggers even with this years full chairs they didnt feel right the first couple times bout once you get going a couple times theyll feel better

Yeah, they were fine the last two days of last season. Maybe since the off-season my feet just aren't used to them.

Well done, NightPain. Your writing has brought out the felicity in me. I am impressed at how well you keep up with your thread, my son. Boots have their way, they break the feet in, as aforementioned. I have Booters, the orange ones that look red online. My whole body gets more broken in each run. It's both good and bad that my Booters hardly stand out. And off I go, to my high school reunion. Au revoir, and may the travails of private school not excessively tax thine lifestyle

I thought they looked red as well. I hope I can keep breaking them in, they're too spendy for me sell and try another boot. Thank you for the comment!
