2011/2012 Gear

Atomic's FFG16 (STH16) will be available in fluro-orange/green colour next year, a la rossi FKS180. Saw Dana rocking them on his 2012 Bentchetlers this weekend. Look sick, sorry no photos.
 
It justs looks a little fatter, that's all. I don't know why they would be testing their "prototype" if it's just the same ski.
 
I don't have pics but a kid of mine who I am friends with on my freeride team who rides for saga was reppin on of the 2011/2012 sample jackets a couple days ago. Blue and gold. Its hella sick.

yea, I'm just wondering what it's a prototype for though, they say it's the Live Free, but it looks fatter than the Live Free (to me at least). It's a prototype though, so anything is possible

still. its single-speed, so with no shifting, you are pinned in your seat all the way to 130.
we hit 80 in one block.
then going downhill in seattle..... holy shit.
 
haha i was reading through the post and im like "this sounds familiar" thanks for the cred. and to the dude that caught the 2 ep's thing, it might be just different colors. its prolly got to do with dimensions tho.
 
So here is some sneak peak info.

2011 Line Eric Pollard Pro models: There is an SFB shorty, SFB, and Mr Pollards Opus, all with corresponding graphics. The Opus is stiffer and thinner than the EP (I am told much stiffer) and does have a slightly different taper and rocker design. I don't know if the SFB is changed at all, but it almost looks a little thinner at the waist?

The 2011 Hellbent has truckers and lifted trucks on it... Not sure yet what to think of that.

Some other highlights:

Volkl has added Rocker to lots of their skis, and introduced a new model called the Shiro that looks very sweet.

Blizzard has some nice new models this year, and with the new IQ rail binding swap system, they are pretty awesome.

Rossignol now has the Super 7 in a 188, also awesome.

And as far as I can tell. EVERYONE has amazing graphics. So much better than a couple years ago.

There are also some amazing boots happening next year, but more on that later.

if that made any sense...
 
i believe thats the graphics. for a sec i thought why would they put trucks on skis then i facepalmed
