2011/2012 Gear

I got to try the BBR today at an industry demo day. They were fun and look sexy as hell in person. I don't understand all the unjustified hate towards it (or do I after 9 years here?). Anyways, wicked in between ski that WILL sell.

Fatypus' Interview with skiing BusinessL-Toro sounds like an interesting choice

With early rise in the tip and tail and limited camber underfoot, the L-toro is an easy ride in the powder, yet it still holds a great edge on the hard pack and is super quick and effortless to turn–and that’s no bullV-Rock (Women’s)[/b]
Ski dimensions:[/b] 158/126/148
Available length of skis:[/b] 176 cm
Target market with the featured skis: [/b]All Mountain, Backcountry
Two-sentence description of featured skis:[/b] This all mountain/ backcountry booter hittin’ pow ski will carve through any conditions while still being a lightning quick easy turning ski in the trees. It has the potential to bring the ladies game on so hard that they will be blowing the doors off the guys, and that’s going switch! What’s on the horizon for next year’s skis?[/b]
More great skis for great skiers! What are three of the biggest forces shaping the changes and developments you’ve made?[/b]
The biggest force that pushes us to create the changes we’ve made, is our mission to create the best powder ski in the industry. From Breckenridge Colorado to the steeps in Alaska, are skis handle with the confidence that every rider needs.Any completely new models (including pro models)?[/b] [/b]
The new pro model for Fat-ypus team athlete Adam Delorme, this ski is the perfect blend of park, all mountain and powder for all levels of skier ability. It has a softer flex than some of our other models, yet still retains that poppy, lively feel that is expected in a Fat-ypus ski. With early rise in the tip and tail and limited camber underfoot, the L-toro is an easy ride in the powder, yet it still holds a great edge on the hard pack and is super quick and effortless to turnWhat will be your best selling ski? Why?[/b]
The I-rock was our best selling ski this year, with its versatility all over the mountain and in deep powder it is idle for any condition.Any new materials or construction technologies?[/b]
Not this year. What themes are you seeing for colors/graphics?[/b]
This year we’re changing up the graphics on our entire model’s with a new graffiti theme. What are price points doing?[/b] [/b]
The price points that we set are designed to help and sustain a steady market. What market segment are you focusing on? How and why?[/b] [/b]What types of skiing do you see leading sales next year (racing, all-mountain, park, etc) and why? How are you planning ahead for that?[/b]
I believe that the leading type of ski next year will be an all mountain jib ski. Especially with the level that skiing is at these days, kids are looking to take their skiing past the park and test their abilities on the mountain.[/b][/b][/b][/b][/b][/b]

I found a few of Dakine's pro model packs and gloves.

Dont like the Pollards, I just dont like a white backpack..

Good to see Petit gets his own model, thats sick!

Buying ski gear, especially optics, as a form of fashion over function, is just plain stupid... Buy good lenses, so you can see when the light is awful.

I love skiing with kids that have murdered out crowbars when they complain they can't see shit when its snowing and/or its flat light or both. When it comes to goggles, Its functionality over style.

tons of gapers have fire iridium a frames at night and i'm like lol. i take mine off sometimes an they're persimmon. fire and black must be terrible. i'm in NJ too, it's not even bright.

When you don't give a fuck about seeing, and just want to look steezy as fuck while running in to everything in your way.

Never. I see other kids I ski with wearing murdered out goggles. I mean it works during sunny days and stuff but when it comes to flat light situations, I am baffled to how they can manuever.

i got you

I totally agree, Pollard makes awesome designs.
My misgiving about this design is that the white will get super dirty. I kind of want anyway.

For some reason, I am a fan of that kind of colorway on a boot. Those look fucking sick, too. Looks like I gonna get with my local dalbello rep up the street once next summer/fall rolls around to see if he can hook me up with a pair.

Check the source. He thanked Adidas for sponsoring him the last six years and then said: "But... I'm very happy to be wearing the most innovative goggle there is! Coming soon from @salomonfreeski"
