2011-2012 English Premier League

Son of a mother of a suckling goat. Couldn't believe that thrashing. I didnt even really get to witness the bloodshed though cause all the internet feeds were tripping out on me in the second half. Oh well. congrats Arsenal, you pulled off a win. Man that was disappointing.

what a finish

i'm getting butterflies for tomorrow, HUGE game for sunderland but i have hope o'neill can get us the win

villas-boas surely must be on the brink of being sacked. But who'd replace him? and at this point i have to question whether it would be a good idea to sack him in the home stretch

To be fair, he did inherit a Chelsea team aging and on the decline. Many of their "star" players have failed to live up to expectation this year either due to crap form or injury (Torres, Malouda, Terry, Luiz etc.) Even Cech looks dodgy at times.

it's the twilight years for chelseas old guard, they need a complete overhaul in summer

also, today is the biggest game of the year so far, all my family excluding me, my bro, my dad and grandad all support newcastle

come on sunderland!

as much as I hate manchester united, I hate tottenham more.

...plus catching tottenham isn't out of the question, whereas united is slipping away steadily.

really happy to see bendtner scored against liverpool and further their misery. He's got a decent scoring record against them i believe. Can't back that up but i seem to remember him doing the job against them a few times.

Also somewhat happy about the chelsea result. It'll help to continue the delusional ideas many chelsea fans have about how they need to play drogba, lampard, and terry to win. All 3 are beginning to be past their prime, so the longer they drag on relying on them, the better.

just need a tottenham loss and today's a fine day!

perfect!

I love this thread gets busy/goes silent based on results. I sure as hell don't bump it if arsenal lose.

Chelsea really look like shit these days - only reason I watched Stoke/Chelsea was I was too hungover to do anything else....huge regret, terrible game.

Love to see Everton finish above Liverpool

like i said, i'm happy to watch them struggle to beat 10 man teams. Let them continue to believe that their core players for the mourinho era will carry them forward.

Villas-boas had the right idea. Just a few grumpy old players were mad, so he got the sack and set chelsea back 2 years.

Also regarding their manager situation...seems like chelsea fans are confident that they'll get the best managers out there every single time. Hate to break it to any of them, but fewer and fewer managers are going to want to work for a team where you can get sacked for not winning the champions league. And they all want mourinho back, but the reality is that he'd be there for 2 years tops before he moves on, like always. He's waiting for the manchester utd job to open up, and always has been.

Yeah man, a lot of our fans are fucking nuts. And the way the club is run scares me too sometimes, they should have stuck with AVB (despite his problems), I really don't know who they can turn to now.

Here's to hoping Spurs keep bricking it!

good work by swansea today. snagging a 1-0 win over city.

I'm undecided as to who i'd rather have win the title. Probably united. At this point, seeing them win the league is more of a "oh look at that, they won it again. how novel. well onto the other news."

and i certainly don't want man city fans to have those bragging rights. Nor do i want nasri and the rest of those mercenaries to get a winner's medal...

Hopefully Tottenham keeps blowing it. Would love for Arsenal to get third and possibly see Chelsea in 4th.And glad to see the Red Devils back on top where they belong!

Unbelievable Troll face.

just heard about it. Did he just collapse or was he inflicted by another player? Either way, vibes and I hope he pulls through.

great news that he's stable. Still has a long way to go but at the very least he isn't getting any worse now.

if the stories about the medics giving cpr for more than 10 minutes are true then those guys are absolute heroes.

heart problems....i only wish there was a better way to detect them before they happen. Seems like most deaths/collapses on the pitch are due to random heart problems no one had thought to check for.

collapsed and was receiving medical attention almost instantly which is why he is probably stable now and not dead

ive heard he wasn't breathing for 10 minutes though and brain damage may be a factor

hope the rumours are just that and he will make a full recovery

everyone is a bolton fan tonight

even if the damage from not breathing is such that he can't play again, just having him survive is enough.

anyone remember marc-vivien foe? everything about muamba reminded me of this guy

wolves once again disappoint.

not that i was expecting a whole lot from them in this match.

newcastle currently up 1 as well.
