2010 suspects, extremes or atomic patent

So Im in the market for a new park ski that will also be super stable in crud and ok in around 6 inches of pow. Originally I was looking into some armadas but I am no longer considering them as I can get K2, Salomon, Atomic and Rossignol all for much less. I already have some Obsethed with around 150 days on them which Im hoping to replace with bentchetlers.

Anyhow, Im around 5'11 and only 150lbs. I want a ski that is good for medium kickers and some basic rails and boxes, no urban. I was thinking 181 in the Suspects , 179 in the extremes and 184 in the patent. Though the Patent might be a bit too wide I dont know. I have discounted the punx as they are too soft and narrower than what Im looking for. Also I dont want a rockered ski ie; kung fujas.

Just curious, why no S4?
Out of those three I'd go with Atomic, seems like the most fun.

the s4 is a bit narrower in the shovel than what Im after 116mm, I would rather have something thats around 125-85-120 or maybe the patent which is 129-95-129....Plus I really dont rate rossi in terms of the quality of their skis, seen a few exploded scratch BCs, poorly finished s7s, exploding b-squads etc...

word, I understand, I was just curious why it wasn't on your list if Rossi was one of the companies you could get a deal on.
I'd go with the Patent cause its symmetrical and can go anywhere and do anything, the Suspect had a lot of durability issues last year so until they prove themselves with the masses this year I'd cross them off the list, and Extremes are a bit narrower than what you're looking for at 118-85-109.

This. the extremes are forsure too narrow for what you are talking about. You could also get a pair of last years Kung Fujas, which are not rockered and are similar dimension wise to what you want.

If not, go with the Patent forsure.

Anthems are 93 in the waist and are SUPER fun in the park - especially on rails cause you have more surface area underneath you so you can control more.

Id say Im probably between the atomic Patent and suspect now. Not too worried about the warranty on the Suspects as I know a few guys that work for salomon and one would assume durability must be improved. Funny I havent heard anything of the patent at all until I checked the atomic website...

Don't you think you have to lean further back in pow with a symmetrical ski? I was also thinking about patent, but have doubt know I've heard good things about Punx. As I really want a good perforamnce in powder, I'm considering Rossi S3 now.

The patent is an AWESOME ski. The thing kicks ass. Its similar is size to the anthem, but with a better sidecut. This thing rips, buttery enough, but stable enough to truck at speed.

i was on the patent most of last season, and let me tell you, that ski is a ball. the bigger platform takes a bit to get used to, but once you give it a shot, youll never go back...the stability is a real plus, especially on bigger jumps. plus these skis are plenty buttery and playful, really letting you get creative in the park. give one nollie a try on these beasts and youll be sold.

plus the graphics are boss.
