2010 Obsethed OR 2012 Bacons??

Here's my dilemma... I can get 2010 Obsetheds with Jester SchizoFrantics for $600 flat or I could drop roughly $300 more to get the 2012 Bacons plus some solid binders... I come to you NS seeking advice... The Bacons worth the extra cash or should I roll with the 2010 Obsethed package?

Thanks NS!

i think bacons are better imo. they can handle powder and groomers very well but for 300 dollars more idk. its up to you

im realy biased toward k2 but it truly bepends on whats ur main focus of skiing on these are. for msotly i would say go with the k2s (way more rocker) but if u want a more versatile ski go with the lines.

They'd be the 2010 Obsetheds which don't have nearly as much rocker as the last 2 years' models. The Bacon's are seriously my dream ski... Just trying to justify the extra cash.

the new bacons are sOOOOOOOOOOOOO sick

(personally id highly advise going with the opus...) but nevertheless id go with the sf'bs over obsethed any day

I've never rode the bacons, but the obsethed is pretty damp, relatively stiff. Its fun for mobbing but probly not as good for butters, jumps, playing around etc.

Word. Everyone is focused on the Bacons, which is understandable because this year's model is unreal but do you guys think they are THAT ($300+) much better than the '10 Obsetheds?

I bought new bacons last year with griffons and they were seriously the best money i had ever spent. SOO fun in the pow but still such a fun ski everywhere else. definitely worth the extra 300. SFB's do not disappoint.

I have some PX12 Jib's on what I ski now. I'm thinking I might just take those off and bend the brake out to 110mm and slap them on the Bacons to save myself some money.

Not sure about the schizos I have heard some mixed things about them...read some reviews about them see what people think...Personally I would by the bacons flat and then get decide what binding.

Well, i would get the obsethed whitout the schizo. The bacon look really good but for 300$ more ? Nahh, get the opus for 300$ more, if you can.

Yeah I'm agreeing with the bacon/opus posts. Either one will likely be a ski you keep forever and never sell, so it's worth every penny. As far as which of those two I'd say it comes down to what you want it for. If you want an all mountain ripper to kill it in the pow and park I'd say bacons. If you want a big mountain ripper that can still handle groomers I'd say opus. If you want to spend all season in a state of regret, get the obsetheds.

Yeah dude I was dead set on riding my opus as an everyday ski this season. Then my buddy got the bacons and I was like "MUST HAVE". They're soooo sick.
