Hi Im 11 Years old(will be 12 next season) And im wondering which ski is for me. Ext's, Threats or El rays,I'm 5'1 and looking for a good ski. What out of those ski's would be best for jumps, I'm still looking for flex for rails but my skiing is 80% jumps. I want Either 149 ext's. 151 Threats or 157 El rays. Please Reply,Peace.

From my experience, K2 makes really low quality kids skis. I've seen 4 pairs of broken juvys and bad seeds. I would stay away from them.

Salomon kids skis have cheap foam cores so I would go with the El Rays.

the k2 is literaly the same ski as the silencer just a differant graphic. i had the silencers great skis for learning new stuff. and guy who posted above me the EXT isnt a kids ski.

Ill agree with eric above. We had so many pairs of threats come back on warrenty last year. Edges ripping out from everywhere on the ski, delams, ect. Ive also seen some broken kids K2 twins, but not many. They adult skis are bomber for the most part though. The El Rays are a great price point kids ski. Great construction, low weight, poppy. I would say to get the Armadas.

Your Dam Right Bro, but none of those skis are juniors, Oh and i meant suspects not threats, and i'm hearing lots of good shit about suspects, and not much about the el rays(Although they are armada's)

hehe ive heard the complet opposite about the suspects i heard from loads of people hear on NS that they are shit skis. dont go with the suspects but damn they look good.

The only thing is the fact That el rays in 157 is the shortest length. and im 5'1 And 110 pounds, i got the basics down (Rails, spins etc) but im wondering if its too long for me, It would be a bit tall for me

A center mounted 157 will be fine for you, they will be about 3cm above you, but you will have some grow room. suspects seem to be hit or miss, if you ski hard, you can easily have problems, if you are just starting in the park and are lightweight, you probably will be fine.

Right on (: Haha im Probably gonna order a pair of el rays Tonight (Thanks bro). One Question though,Are the el rays lighter than the suspects?(It doesn't matter im just wondering)

I havnt held them both at the same time, but if my memory serves me yes they are. The El Rays are cap, which is usually lighter than the suspects sidewall construction.

Thanks again. im deff buying el rays. Im just Mad Because The suspect matches my jacket(Westbeaach maverick jacket)haha. peace

unless you're a really big 12 year old the K2 extremes will probably be too stiff for you.I'd say the Elrays are probably your best bet.

The EXT has the same dimensions as the silencer, but it has sidewalls and better construction.

And to the guy who posted above me, EXTs are not the same skis as extremes.

To the OP, go for the el rey. Armada quality, cap construction (durable), lightweight, and I haven't heard anything bad about that ski. Plus they seem pretty sick we have them at my shop and they have a pretty sweet flex.

no, not at all, I have both the Extremes and Silencers, completly different, however, the Extremes are pretty much the same as the PEs but a newer version. And for the poster of this thread, only problem with the Extremes is they are a bit heavy :(

Im not talking about extremes, for 2010 theres a new ski called the ext and its a scaled down version of the extreme. And yess it has the same dimensions as the silencer but just a tad but less forgiving.

fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck, my bad, im not to up on new models, and idk about kids K2 skis, and ive only heard bad about them, so o well

No prob. Im going to get my afterangs tomorrrow so this thread should be done wwith, Thanks for all the help People, im outt
