ive narrowed them down and i dont know which one i want. feedback on earlier models? ive only been skiing park for 2 years so all ive had is troublemakers. pros? cons? thank you

Disorderly. I have heard that the suspects fall apart easily. k2s are bomb proof and sick sticks. I think they are cheaper too. in my mind it is an obvious choice.

why did you narrow it down to these two? they are not similar

Oh and neither changed since 09, so go get the 09 model. I would say no on suspects if you like rails because the edge armour destroys the ski. Disorderlys are good, here they are cheap:

http://www.evogear.com/outlet/skis/k2-disorderly-2009.aspx and use code "bigone" I think it is and they will be $221 new shipped for 179s(the length you want!)

yeah the length was what i was worrying about too. my troublemakers were 165 and im like 5'10 5'11 130 lbs

I have disorderlys and like them, they are a bit on the heavy side (z12 bindings). But i pretty much ski only rails and i'm all good edgewise. I have the 159 ones which tip to tail measure about 164, but the running surface is 159, i'm pretty sure thats how they do it.

maybe it's just me. maybe my boots are real heavy, or maybe i'm just used to really light rollerblades (deshi ch1's), maybe i'm weak in the legs (probably not that).

the +5 is common with K2s with normal tips/tails(including twins, and even flat tailed K2s for some reason) but it is not exactly how you put it. K2 measures in a straight line from tip to tail, where most brands would measure along the base tip to tail. The running surface will be less than 159 on a K2 labeled 159, because even though the tips and tails are off the snow when on a groomer they are still pointed outward. Oh, and K2 got it right with these, THEY DID WHAT EVERY PARK SKI SHOULD HAVE: LOW PROFILE TIPS AND TAILS.

which is? sorry ive never heard of that (i m kinda a noob)

and just comparing ski to ski, do you think disordorlys are better or worse than armada ar6s? just looking for personal experiences

it means the tips arent as high or steep. they are more mellow rise. this makes it better in park because of aerodynaics and shit. my p.e.s had huge ass fuckin tips and tails not many other skis have as high of a tail as the p.e/extreme with the exception of rockered ones. people definitletly like ar6 over disorderly.

i just started looking at the ar6's any ideas on any other skis for me? that anyone would know something or two about ? again 5'10 5'11 130-140 pounds

my jib skis are shorter than my pipe skis.. i have 178 octolands.. for jib, so it also plays into what youre using them for.. if you want to hit jumps and ski pipe, id say add 5cm to your length, and go for a stiffer ski. but if you are a jib id, go with a softer ski, good for buttering and pressing.. they also flew easier for hand plants

well youare more of a beginner i take it you arent hucking over a 7.. i prefer a stiff ski for caving and hucking hard.. but if youwant something just to play on jumps with.. id say octolands (which are the first year anthems redone)

line is not a bad comany at all.

from them depending on how fat you want your ski go with either the anthem, chronic, or if you can find them octos or spirals (same ski different graphic)

other skis ive had

fisher addict.. skinny stiff ski, handles on rails great for jumps pipe

i rode for a couple weeks on demo volkl wals.. they are sick!! symetrical which is great for jibs. a little stiff, but very sturdy, a grwat all around park ski in my opinion

had k2 fugitives, and it really turned my away from k2.. its a flimsy ski and fun to play with but donesnt hold up if you are aggressive

first year invaders.. my beginner park ski, they were great but they fell apart

id say a 171-176 would be about your range you could try and go for 178 anthems.. or go for the volkl walls in 177

i have them and i ski the east cost. they are sick, you will love them. I am 5'6 and 122 lbs and i ride the 159. If you are looking at other skis:

try the ar6 (stiffer ski) or the line anthem

Not to say the disorderlys are bad, but i got mine for free since the shop drilled thru my fujatives, and i must say, they were too stiff for me, but had a lot of pop. I found them to be heavy, and they made a weird Boing sound when they hit the rails. I also had an edge crack and its pulling away a little. Next year i plan on getting a base weld for my fujatives, and bind those skis up because theyre lighter and softer, and thats what i need, so it depends what cha want.

You bother me.

Why you might ask?

1. Your lack of clicky link. That shit always gets on my nerves. It's neither hard nor time consuming to post a hyperlink.

2. Every single thread I see your posts in, they're always sucking up to On3p. (Except for on where you were talking about some Magic card bullshit.) Why? You ordered a pair of Caylors, fucking awesome. I'm glad you were able to support a growing company, more of us probably should.

But in all honesty, do you know anything at all about On3p or their skis? You don't know anyone in the company personally, I really doubt you've ridden a pair, and quite frankly I find it hard to believe you know much about skiing in general.

So please, just start being like 85% of the kids on this site and start just telling kids to buy skis based on what other pros are riding. Stop spewing your useless opinion around like an uncontrollable fire hose.

I own this year disorderlys ..so here are my comments about those skis

-If you do like LOTS of rails not a lot of jumps they are good for you cause theyre reall soft

-Top sheets (like every K2) Peels off a lot

You dont think the suspect changed? are you shitting me they changed so much. Flexier tip and little rocker in them although you cant really see it. Biggg changes and way more stable. Know your shit before posting

I have ridden them, I know (both) people in the company personally, and I know something about skiing in general and I agree with him. This dude should pick up some Blue Steeles. Seriously, is there a better deal on 09/10 park skis out right now? I think not.

Ive got the Disordlerlys right now, with marker griffon bindings and Salomon SPK boots. Weigh nothing if you ask me. If you buy disorderlys, I hope you get em centered. Theyre a really soft and buttery ski too. I got the 179 and im about 180 tall. The only downside is that Ive noticed is that the side of the ski is cracking a LITTLE bit, not much, nothing that can change your skiing. Also, this ski might be the cheapest, good ski on the market.

I would give this ski a 8,5/10, for a good ski and a reaaally good price.
