2010 freeskier buyers guide in my hands

I can't say I was expecting no EP Pro. It just seems like there was lots of some companys (Salomon, Nordica, etc) and next to nothing from others.
 
probably because last year it was tested in pow and groomers (no idea why) and was in the all mountain category. this year it was probably in park (correct me if im wrong).
 
freeskier needs to sack up and give complete credit to FREEZE and bring back liftie of the month. Favorite part of FREEZE, hands down
 
WTF FREESKIER . i order my mag and didnt even show up on my credit card bill and i dont get mine till november
 
its not the products that suck, its the magazine in general, all ads, no good stories, and they don't cover up and comers at all.
 
I love how they feature the Suspects all the time (they were super highly rated in 2009 Buyers Guide too if my memory is correct) and they were the biggest fail.. and legit companies get no coverage at all. Plus I'm tired of seeing Dumont in every other ad
 
they weren't tested but they were featured in a new company section they have an ad for the billy goat as well
 
Freeskier sucks, same 10 skiers in every issue, shitty photo's, crappy half ass written articles. I had to pick up Powder to see Durtschi's double over pyramid, why the fuck am Im not seeing that in freeskier?
 
They gotta get more of a break than this. I haven't read the mag yet but at least in years past they've actually skied on the skis and written reviews about them. Many magazines these days put up shitty reviews on skis, and don't even appear to have ridden on them at all. While freeskier does miss some stuff, they deserve more credit than they've gotten on these boards as of late. I'm 100% down to see the return of Freeze (I don't see that happening soon) but in the meantime I'll still read one of the few magazines we have going- Freeskier. Appreciate what you've got because soon enough print magazines and most all print media won't have enough funding to continue.
 
Really, you think so? Yes absolutely there is a correlation between money and reviews. There is a correlation between money and ANY media outlet in this industry. The internet is the least biased source of info available; unfortunately most of the people providing that info don't know what they're talking about whether they're biased or not.
 
word to this and most of the park testers ride for salomon so i guess thats why they rated the salomons so high. and yeah they pay WWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYY to much attention to dumont. how about more respect for andy parry, will wesson, mike hornbeck, tom wallisch, wiley miller, and phil casabon ect ect?????!!!!!!!!!?????????!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? AAAAANNNNNDDDDDD, they didnt say a word about the afterbangs although they are a groundbreaking construction. also, the bindings for the park skis werent even center mounted. this is bad for skis like anthems and afterbangs bacuase they are built around and intended only for center mounts. no wonder they didnt score to highly

People fail to realize that the reviews are completely arbitrary in the sense that they are based directly on how much a certain company spends on advertising in said magazine.
