which one to get. i will be doing mostly park hard pack groomers and an occasional east coast powder and Colorado skiing. which is the best buy?

+Karma for good answers

Depends on what kinda ski you like...

I really like the Punx, because they're pretty soft and buttery, but that's just me. Also the graphics of the Punx kick ass bigtime. I have the 2011 model and I absolutely love 'em. I've skied them last season for like 2 months every day and they still look really really good. Just some top-sheet chipping. And yes, I do rails/boxes...

Then you don't want K2 Revivals. They're a fairly stiff, jumping ski. Maybe Domains though. You could look at ON3P Blue Steeles, Armada Halo, Armada T-Hall, and many others. Just look around and look for reviews.

You either go symmetrical or asymmetrical, either centermounted or mounted where ever you want.

110.5-82-110.5 vs 121-90-115 ...no rocker vs rocker ... durabillity issues vs bomberski's.

The revivals are playful , light , midflex easy to butter with the rocker better at the groomers better in pow.

Just go with the revivals.

you made my day. i was kinda wondering about the 2011 punx if they were as durable as my ar6. i ordered a set and now im glad i did. oh and how tall are you and what size did you get?

Im not sold on atomics twin tips. To they just dont seen like the greatest ski.

However K2 has really stepped up their twin tip models in their 2011 line up. Also, Line and Full Tilt are divisions of K2. Both of those companies make sick skis.

Overall, i think the k2's are much better

Then you want to go with the punx, pretty noodly, but they handle well on big jumps too (just look at Andreas throwing down ^_^ )

Oh, and because of your +k I figured I'd check my karma...3.13 lol!

I'm 100% sure they're 112.5 at tip/tail; maybe that's just for the 182 model though!

Oh, and sorry for the triple-post, but idk how to make multiple quote's in one topic...They should handle BB code in here, muuuch easier!

correct, 182 is 112.5-82-112.5.

and to those claiming atomics have durability issues, have you skied a pair in the past 3 seasons? the new punx, since theyve gone to the new construction, are awesome. ive had more pairs than i can shake a stick at, and they are absolutely bombproof, both the park skis and their freeride stuff. any issue they may have had (which, im sure most of you are remembering the nightmare of the triplet days) has been long since resolved, and the new punx are quite possibly the best park ski out there.

they are also made in austria...not china.

The durability on the Punx is about as good as you're gonna get. Lightweight, soft with a little snap, really a killer ski. I'd certainly lean that way, I'm not feeling K2s twins at all, rocker on a park ski just doesn't impress me. The Patents are one of my favorite skis on the market currently, really a top notch ski.
