We usually have a thread and haven't seen one yet...

Arsenal laying a fierce beating on SC Braga, and chelsea is doing the same to whatever shit european side they are playing.

just out of curiosity how many Americans follow European football??? considering it is way bigger over here than in America

i love it. though technically i'm as european as i am american, and at the moment im living in europe.

really regretting not getting tickets for the arsenal game tonight though.

fuck yes they did...it would be so awesome to see man u crash out in the group stage. i wish this result had happened in the knockout stage though, their bad form couldnt last much longer and they'll get back into it...

Well - im british, living in Murica... so don't know if that counts, but i'd say it was more popular then it's ever been - still not gonna knock Murican Football or Basketball, baseball out the way - but i'm suprised at how many americans know there shit about european footy... (I hate using the "S" word.... generally)

Go Chelsea! They are looking quite nice right now.

And I'm a big Chelsea fan to whoever was asking about American's being European soccer fans.

ya im american and a huge euro soccer fan, too bad i cant watch any of it though, because i dont have fox soccer channel which basically has all of the games, does anyone know good places that stream games or where you can download torrents after the fact?

myp2p.com, sports, soccer....find a link that works.

it sounds sketchy as hell, but shockingly, iraqgoals is usually one of the best

i havnt watched any soccer since the world cup but i expect barca to win it this year and david villa is gonna slay

and its back!

chelsea embarrassing marseille on the pitch, while marseille fans embarass chelsea fans in the stands.

arsenal tied with belgrade

and no idea about the others. I think bayern was winning last i checked

where are you living fuja?

according to american tradition i am supposed to root for barcelona since that is where I studied abroad but I still can't believe they lost to hercules on the catalan holiday so I am currently rooting for bayern munich.

freistaat bayern

you'd think they were playing at home. A few thousand marseille fans managed to outsing all the chelsea fans in the area, and it was nonstop. Literally start to finish. Unbelievable atmosphere. OM travels quite well, like PSG. French teams tend to be a cross between english and eastern european fans.

and I'm currently living in london. A lot closer to stamford bridge/chelsea area, but i am an arsenal fan, so every weekend i take the trains up to north london. Excellent experiences so far.

was at the Arsenal match tonight. (we're the north bank, we're the north bank...)

excellent match to be at. Great atmosphere. Nasri has also scored a total of 4 times in 3 matches ive seen him play

i said it last year, and i'll say it again this year.

what do you think of tottenham?

shit.

and what do you think of shit?

tottenham.

down 3-0 before 15 minutes is even up. woooooooow.

I hate the Yiddo's too but it's quite impressive how they almost knicked it with 10 men. I'm glad to see Chelsea is surviving their injury crisis (so far). Real Madrid seems to be gelling, Ozil is such a nasty player. I didn't actually get to watch this round of play though, too many mid terms.

bale is too good for the scum. I expect he'll be at united within 2 years to replace giggs.

not a bad comeback effort, but to be fair, past the 20th minute, inter had pretty much already left the match.

I wonder what was really going on with Rooney now that hes signed a new deal. Did he really want to leave or was it just Sir Alex being a twat and trying to get him to sign on the dotted line faster.

brilliant move on everyone's part

by signing this deal, everyone wins, even though he is still going to leave.

man utd can now demand a much higher transfer free, because they have him under contract for so much longer and will want the buyer to pay up for some of that.

rooney himself can demand higher wages, by showing what he's now making, and wanting more.

In the end, utd will be paying a fair bit of money in wages, but all of it will be made up and them some when his transfer fee comes in. And rooney will make a shitload at utd, before going off and making even more elsewhere.

the fact is, you don't claim a club lacks ambition, and devote yourself to leaving, then sign a new 5 year contract and claim to be extremely happy 2 days later.

Clearly we don't know all the facts here. IMO speculating about it is pointless until the transfer window. I will point out though that Man U won't be paying more, he's still got a contract running for 2 years regardless of this.
Rooney was right though, his club have lacked ambition with bringing players in, ultimately I think we're beginning to see signs of the Glazers fucking up. Buying a football club on debt is not a smart move.
And hopefully your boys smash Al-City this weekend, I can see your midfield getting bullied and tossed around but I hope not.

Everything you wrote is probably 100% right. This contract seems pretty similar to what fabregas signed two years ago. He knew he wasn't going to stay at arsenal for his whole contract if barcelona want him.

bale will be terrific for spurs if redknapp can continue to build the team like he has been doing. unless selling bale can improve the team he's goin nowhere.
and if you really want to be "fair", if vdv wasnt suspended and had dawson, defoe, kaboul, king etc. been healthy, the first half of that game would have been a different story. of couse inter could relax being up by that much at half at home, but a team of thier caliber knows better than to back off that early in the game. 4-0 down at inter is not a comeback to be belittled.

I Do. big chelsea supporter. my dad and brother have been to over like 15 games combined and ive seen them play once. pretty sick

Intern raped Tottenham. I say Arsenal wins it this year (might be a little biased of an opinion but hey wat the fuck)

Haha Mourinho is a dirty russian tycoon with bucket loads of money. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
