2010 - 2011 Seymour Conditions Thread

Dec 20th - Pretty legit, no lift lines and there were some left over stashes from Sunday. It started snowing mid day and I got really stoked. Tomorrow is going to be blower

BTW if you guys ever hit up city booter i'd be down, I'll shovel, take vids and probably only hit it once or twice

Thanks a lot for showing me around.. I would've ben lost without that. That was a fun day, we should go shred again soon!

I did the trails you showed me on mystery and the backside of mystery cliff... I was really tired so I left not too long after you.

Dec 21st- Decent, I saw a snowboarder with a jacket that looked like Charlie brown's shirt and that made me stoked. Lines were nothing until 12ish and some pro patrol made some skier wreck there own jumps. OH OH OH and I saw some guy with a yellow NS sticker on his helmet and I was about to yell "how do you get to chads gap from the bottom of alta!" but I was afraid of failure

Dec 22- The snow was sticky throughout the day, then it started snowing sideways. The 2nd jump in the mystery park was deemed unhitable (unless you wanna smash into the knuckle) because of the stickeyness of the snow. Pray that the snow doesn't dissipate into rain later tonight.

so weird today, it was snowing a lot but the snow was super heavy
I'm just glad to have sooo much cover... lodge is looking great for this early in the seasonjust a couple more days until christmas!!

dont go up today unless you plan on going super late...
the traffic was backed up right to the parkway at the bottom of the hill to get up...had to turn around and go back home.
i called they said because all the lots were full...so i can't even imagine the lift lines.
well time to sleep goodnight

shitty, anyways

Dec 24th- Dunno bout Seymour but whiss was nukin futs, like 40cm of pow

Dec 27th- I also have no idea about Seymour but Apex was pretty good, kinda icy and not even closly compairable to whis. I heard the shore is getting dumped on, any confirmation?

I went up whistler the day before you.. It was good but you chose the better day to go, It was pretty good in some areas but i was mostly tracked out

road was messed up today, there were multiple accidents and they closed it. conditions are amazing though. the gun barrel is amazing, and everywhere is amazing, and the snowflakes look pretty

Sound like chaos, some people just don't seem to understand that:

All season radials =/= snow tires

Even if you have a 4x4

hahaha speaking of idiots in cars.. we were trying to hitch a ride down and we see this smart car backs out of its spot, and starts gunning it up at the exit way... fishtailing everywhere... it was pretty hilarious, like he was trying to be a moron

I'm in the interior, but judging by this,

Go. Fuckin. Ski.

just be careful on the road

Looks damn good to me with that forecast. Been avoiding Seymour and hitting Hemlock for the past couple weeks, really didn't feel like battling crazy lift lines.

I hitched a ride from the base around 11 today, it was so busy that they had to close the road and send people back down. went to grouse instead.

Yea, I guessed that It would be a complete zoo. I just went long boarding

How far of a drive is to hemlock from vancity?

Probably something like an hour and a half, maybe two. I'm out in Langley, it's just as long to Seymour as it is to Hemlock for me.

Different forecast, different result (and I find this one fairly accurate most of the time)

I was up there riding last night and the park is pretty in shambles. Although the two jumps are pretty damn fun. Most of the rails in the park didn't have lips to get onto them so I had to step onto most of them It looks like they are starting to build up for a jump line down lodge though although they could just be setting up platforms for down rails.
