so ive been looking around at new get ups for the 2008/2009 season. but of course there not out yet haha so its been really hard to find them. does anyone know when they come out. i know most of u are thinking wow its really early for this but u know u gots to be thinking of this all the time also. thanks guys
 
ya man it aint early for this at all. im like u im waiting for all the new oakley, jiberish etc stuff comes out too. but yeah bro my best guess would be in september for mostly everything.
 
don't know how stuff works in washington or wherever you guys live but in maryland the 09 gear doesn't come out till 2009 ( i think). like right now in some of the stores you can buy 2008 gear so i think in 09 stuff will swich over and be sold as rental gear??? (correct me if i am wrong but i think that is how the industry works). i know in all the vidoes at least they release some stuff and then show it in the magazines to. but not sure about when we can buy it. check online or in the buy and trade post threads i guess
 
yeah man no prob + karma. i hate it when people shred up threads whens theres nothing wrong with them at all.
 
na 2009 gear is to be worn at the start of the season its like buying a new car, u can get 2009 cars in 2008. i guess for skiing its more like 2008/2009 gear
 
ya well i have been trying on all of my next years stuff already.
cant wait to see the new goggles/helmets/skis and other stuff
 
yeah same i cant wait easpisally for oakley and jiberish its gonna be so sick im lookin for pic right now on goggle haha.
 
this post is completely false. the gear that will be released beginning this august/september is actually 2008/2009 gear. this past season's gear was 2007/2008 gear. also the companies that make the skis you see being used as rental gear, make specific and cheap skis that they sell to mountains/shops to be used specifically for rentals. the leftover 2007/2008 gear you speak of is sold at reduced price in the shops that have it. companies make a specific number of skis to fill the quotas of the shops that stock them, and make a couple hundred or so extra pairs to be used in the warantee deparment. they dont actually have many of las seasons skis left over at the distribution centers of the ski manufacturing companies.

also, if a company makes a ski and the only thing that changes about it is graphics, and they have some leftover, they will put a new topsheet on it if they can. (most cases not possible)
