I was super stoked for the ski season this year and 2 weeks ago I broke my tibia. I spun a kang flip a little to slow on the tramp and then I heard it snap on the landing. Has anybody else injured them selfs before the ski season this year? Any suggestions for recovery? Any other injury stories?

Yours truly broke his back like 3 weeks ago, Olympic tramps, over rotated a dub to a 2.5compressed vert.DRINK WATER, EAT HEALTHY, STAY IN SHAPE...if possible. for ex. i swim everymorning, it helps, but yeah, BE POSITIVE

you did that at Aerial and Barani's didn't cha? That really sucks... vibes to those who're out of commission, stay healthy folks

I broke my knuckle punching a wall in a drunk, whiskey-induced rage.... i can still ski but i have to rock mono-pole steeze (im not worthy of no-pole). It also took me like 5 minutes to write this haha

upload the photo to NS, then paste it through the photo icon in your reply box. That's what I do and it works every time.

my mate was warming up on this new jump, he landed a three backseat and snapped his leg in half above the boot. i'll try and find pics.

that blows. vibes to all those injured peeps out there. I tore my mcl playing soccer last spring, it healed, and then I broke my elbow on the first day of summer, 6 days before I was going to coc

I've been recovering from a shoulder seperation all summer and it still is incredibly weak. Has me kind of worried for the ski season....think i might sart some light weight training on it.

haha that sucks. youre probably going to feel stupid at one point though and just drop the poles. crippled = legit reason to no pole it up

Dislocated my knee at Boreal on Sunday. I can't walk without my knee brace because it's still so loose. And I've got some gnarly swelling going on.

this is my bigggest fear for the next 3 weeks before my season starts--im playing everything super safe

+vibes to you all i would be going crazy

Yeah it was the first time I really got injured, I did kangs on the tramp before but I just got a weird kick... I might be back shredding in february. +++k

How stiff were his skis, that they didnt have enough flex to absorb some of the backseat pressure? Usually the ski will snap before your...leg?

i do everything into pits first, dont even take the chance

when you pull a trick and you come back down on the tramp without a mat its an easy way to sprain your ankle

Last year I broke my wrist the first day of the season. Hopefully I won't have as many injuries as last season (concussion, broken nose, broken wrist). Nothing this season.. yet.

Last season I broke my heel into 3 pieces and 2 other bones in my foot on my 5th day of the season. Yesterday was the first day my local hill was open, so no injuries yet.

broke my tibia in april and had surgery to take out the hardware a couple of weeks ago. HOPEFULLY the holes will have closed up before december 5th... if not, well, that wouldnt be cool.and the staples didnt stay in long enough to close the skin cos it opened up when they took them out. basically stay in touch with the surgeon (if you even had surgery) to make sure everything's going good and there's no infection cos shit can happen, one of my friends could lose his leg cos of a bone infection (i know, who cares? he's a snowboarder). what im trying to say is be careful with it and make sure you're back to normal before you start skiing again.

I have a partially torn thumb ligament. just got it a week ago while racing. Brake rotor hit my thumb. I'm honestly lucky because if that brake rotor had been on my thumb for 2 seconds i would be thumb less right now. but now I'm in a cast and am not supposed to ski till mid January. end of December I'm gonna try and ski. just no park tho.

moved across the country away from my friends and family just to ski park city all the time, then last week re-broke my collar bone (the first one ended my windells week early) now i can't risk landing on it in the park in case it breaks a third time. i can ski powder hopefully by january, but yea i was not too stoked

i was seeing this girl, and things were getting real serious.. but then she broke up with me: broken heart, outta commission for fives months.
