so cold world as a whole wasn't very good either? i'm seeing a trend of worse than usual snowboard movies this year.
 
Jeez grew up in middle of nowhere vermont going to the same small ass elementary school as magoon an now hes fuckin huge, crazy

His first 4 tricks or so in Keep Talking were cooler than his whole section in Cold World in my opinion. Rediculous dancing,pressing, spinning on a dfd box.
 
Deadlung has way doper lifestyle shots than gooner! Just watch his segment for how a movie part should look!
 
i hate that movie, i dont know how people can make such good riding look so not fun, but somehow they did it. every one of them is moving around doing faggy hand symbols like they are the most badass black gangsters ever.  but no they are rich as white kids from ski towns,  so pretty much the complete opposite.  it just has such a horrible vibe, fuck gangster style.
 
hahaa i agree. techinine movie got real boring and was a lot worse than last years. but keep talking on the other hand was real good. good music and real fun to watch. and grendys killed it
 
I hate Magoon. Hes one of the biggest douches who rides killington. Him and his whole crew are all pieces of shit.
 
yeah he is pretty much a fag.  i saw him at a basin early season alot and you can just tell he is in love with himself, he thinks he is the shit.  and he doesnt have a very cool attitude to other people, my friend said like "yeah dude that was sweet" to him and he just ignored him rode  away. even my friend who snowboards was like "how come skier pro's are so much cooler and nicer than snowboard pro's?"  

and what the hell is with how he dresses?  he wears like 5 tall t's a sweater then a sweater, then another tall t, then a sweatshirt, then like a gay jersey or something over it all, and then he's wearing like a hat, headband, sunglasses, headphones and all this other shit, he looks like a damn marshmellow.    i feel kinda gay bithing about fashion but shit he must spend like an hour in his room finding different shirt/jacket/jersey combonations to look the most "gangster"
 
The filming was excellent- really raw feel to it with no bullshit timelapses and the music was there but not overwhelming and the best part is you actually heard the sounds of the snowboarding. The style was ridiculously laid back which worked super well with the music. But it was almost too laid back style. Like they would start coming of a rail early and just go with it, staying in the same stance rather then move to stay balanced. Overall it was pretty sick, its like a new form of snowboarding - like urban boarding. Like snowskating with bindings

He def had a crew of kids at home that loved him but more often than not people were just pissed at him, i never knew him all too well after like 5th grade but most kids i know who know him better than i do say hes a total bitch
 
magoon is SO ill, i saw him last year in nyc for the urban rail jam in union square. he should have won, i forget what he places though. his style is just so unique
 
magoon is like a dirty gas station gangster, that aside he is a sick snowboarder and has some pretty unique style. he just makes things look so easy and chill, even when he's doing the craziest stuff.
 
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, oh wait, I forgot that racial jokes arent funny, and havent been since around 2003. Gangsterism is a very prevalent trend in snowaports today. get over it.
 
y can't ski vids be like that. i'm really gettin tired of the ski vids, they really need to mix it up that was fresh. all urban is the way to go
 
btw i wasnt ripping on the riding. that was fucking amazing and goon is a sick ass rider. im just sick of all these guys actin like they're thug and shit where if you were to put them in an actual "ghetto" they would get their shit rocked. still sick riding none the less
 
Not trying to start a bunch of drama, but this argument doesn't hold much water. You could make similar claims for any of the more unique styles. "If you put the kids who wear tight pants and trendy fashion jackets ala Nima Jalali, Jon Cooley etc. in a club in LA where people dress like that, then they couldn't hang with all the coke lines getting bumped in the bathroom. They would get worked" Quit trying to put snowboarders and skiers in the ghetto.
 
its not really the actual snowboarding/skiing style i dont like, though it is getting kinda old. its the shitty angry attitude badass attitude that comes with it.  like just by looking at everyones intro's to their part in that movie you can tell they think they are the most badass shit ever.  they are all in love with themselves,  like if they could suck their own dick they wouldnt even try snowboarding, they would just be in their room sucking thier wieners all day. 

and thats what sucks about skiing movies, like all of them have such a epic, badass attitude,  non are just about having fun, which is what its all about.

   moives like thanks brain and dc mountain lab are where its at,  its all about having a fun time with your friends and doing what you like,  and for some reason ski movies are way afraid of that.
