2007 Burton Open Cancelled-Will it kill the jumps as well?

it really only means that it will take longer for a good park to be up, cause now cop doesnt have to rush to start building jumps and a pipe for the burton open, if it was colder the past week or 2 then it still would have been a go, but they reached the point in time where if they still went ahead with the open, the venue wouldnt have been that great, they are gonna run it next year though
 
with it any luck it will, then I can have more space to work on my carving turns on my salomons. jumping is lame anyways

there is already some stuff up in the progression park for when the joint opens.
 
I went to opening day today the progression park was small, not that great, don't know how there will be much of a jibjam thing tomorrow. So far they have a tiny two jump line, a slightly larger jump, a box and a wallride. The mini pipe looks really shitty right now, prolly cuz they dont have much snow to make it better.

cop was kinda boring today. the fussnet part was spinnign around on the garbage can lid. i probably did it for like 20 mins
 
didnt we agree to quit ns haha, well...yeah. the prog park is fun for a bit, the downbox is pretty fun, so is the flat down but the wallride is uber sketchy
 
bear in mind even though we have a shit load of guns going off we cant blow on the westside (park) until the world cups on the track are over, so that delays things a bit to. Oh and the city is being gay and shutting us down for sucking too much water right now as bearspaw treatment plant is down for annual cleaning, repairs etc. Not sure if they are done that yet its soon anyway.
 
Have they started shooting the park yet?

I know the guns are going, but i can only see them going on the east side. Maybe Ill just go up.
 
aight, dude do you know whats up with the "mini pipe" it looks so sketchy. I was cruisin on the COP site at it looks to be Orage Pros and Powder is making a stop at COP in march, pretty sick.
 
Had a chat with Wade yesterday, hey says everything will be open by Dec 15th. They want to take their make enough snow, movie it to where it needs to be, etc. Most of the jumps in the park will be pyramid-style this year, to help with progression, and protect against injury. The park is going to be pretty much the same as last year, although they're thinknig of putting a quarterpipe where the bottom wall ride was last year.

i have a very funny feeling your the kind of guy that hits the diving board, then skis beside all the jumps.
 
nope, mainly, sw1 off the diving board, 3 off the first jump, and last year i didnt hit the big jump awhole bunch cause it is scary, then the step up and wall ride.

Its not scary, ahaha, I never have the right speed, and knuckle out or die landing flat... so fuck it.
