2006 public enemy's are out now

i just went to my local shop in bend, skjersaa's, and they got in the 2006 public enemy's. They are 10 times lighter than before, and the graphics are a total change, they're black and red now, and should be much more solid ski than before. Check em out!

 
I've seen the new 1080's (Salomon @ Whistler) and the new Trouble Makers (Axis Shop), but no news on how they perform.

 
yeah weve had the Pe's for over a month now at our shop, I like the new graphics personally, its a pretty cool color scheme.

We pay our debt sometimes.

the new pe's are more of an all mountain ski, they're a lot stiffer than this years. so far as lighter, not sure if I agree with that. and there's no such thing as next year's 1080's, 1080's are over dude

kasanovah, this years are supposed to be not as stiff as last year's. I dont know where you heard that they were stiffer, but they arent, according to all the people that ive heard who have ridden them and the advertisements and stuff.

^The PEs are stiff as far as twins go, but they are not stiff compared to most high performance skis. Go check out a pair of Atomic SX:11 if you want a consumer 2x4.

dude, I demoed them, they are stiffer and the rep said yes, they are stiffer because they wanted it to be more of an all mountain application ski not just park specific

"wanted more of an-all mountain application." Sure dude. The ski is slightly wider underfoot, not stiffer. The ski already was an all-mountain killer. An extra 5mm underfoot ensures this fact even more.

ummm... the new PE's are heavier, the die cut p-tex top sheet adds some wieght but also dampens the ski quite well. The new tip/tail profile makes the ski turn a little different, but all said, it is fairly similar to the Oriniginal PE's.

got to love the new graphix though!

ya, i got the fugis in ellicotville, a bit past buffalo. They were 225$(u.s) with taxe. they have a 169 and a 159 left, i think the store is called Bexterbrus or something

Wayne, the new Public Enemy is most definately not heavier bud. The P-TEX we used is a fraction of the thickness of P-TEX used as base material. It was a surprise, but indeed the ski is lighter than previous offerings and takes longer to break during slap testing.

 
i didnt think that the weight changed very much. not anyhting significant. they arent any softer either. our rep said that a bunch of the athletes said the ptex topsheet didnt give as much pop. they look sharp though

seriously, anyone who says the new pe's arent lighter , doesnt know what the hell they are talking about. The old ones were as heavy as bricks, the new ones make mt 1080's feel like 2 cars on my feet

 
I just thought that they were stiffer when I rode them and when I asked the K2 rep that was there he said that yes they were.

I'm just goin by what I was told.

I just picked up the new Fujatives and I am stoked to ski them. The new PEs look alot better in person than they do on the internet....the 1080 Foils look worse in person than they do on the internet though.

to see them, the armadas are hot but will probably also be an acquired taste, so are the new dynastars once you realize that the graphics are skulls not homo flames, it takes a couple minutes of random staring on the chairlift to realize this hahaha.

Have you checked out the Fujatives yet cause i found them for about 300 and im thinkin i might get them, are they light or whats the story?
