dose this binding pivot? i just got it and it doesnt seem to pivot. Is the old p12 with the pivot better or is the new one just as safe?

The old ones are better. The new ones don't pivot. Look changed them 'cause it costs less to make the px12's and they can sell them for the same price as the p12's.

the new bindings are just as good if not better than the old turn table style looks. they were developed for racing (HIGH safety standards!!) and have been proven to work just as well and better than the older models, plus they are lighter. i have the px12Ti's on my pollards and they work amazingly

that's such an uninformed response bro, nothing you said is true. R and D on a new binding line costs millions. The new bindings don't pivot because pivoting latterally reduseces torsional rigidity and causes all kind of negative reactions. Also the new PX has recessed slots for the brake arms so they won't catch landing switch. Pivots were all breaking so they finally made something better and new. They're cheaper for sale this year than Pivots were so they can promote the new binding. They're also lighter and much stronger. The only good thing Pivoting sideways in ht eheel accomplished was allowing the toe to travel further without releasing, 22mm in either direction to be percise. By building a stronger heelpeice with 30% more foward pressure the PX travels that same 22mm in either direction without sacrificing torsional rigidity. They're redoing the race bindings for next year with this PX heel too which means it's legit. It's lighter too.

I got the new Rossi Scratch 120... Rode them hard today with absolutely no problems. I ejected when needed to, but stayed in when I should have. They're a more stable bikding than the older Rossi or Looks, Tails don't swim behind you due to the pivot heal piece. Far as I can tell, they're going to be a bulletproof choice this year. Peace.

Word on the street is that the PX16 and PX20 will be available before Torino. I'm assuming that means World Cup testing, but they'll definitly be replacing the P18/FKS bindings next season.

What's the difference between the PX12, the PX12 Lifter and the PX12Ti? Do I need the wide version for PE (05/06)??

get your facts straight dipshit. The PX12 is cheaper than the P12. Yes the new binding is cheaper to produce, but they passed the savings on to us!

ya the new ones suck it was just a cheaper version......and there not safer becasue now the chance of you taring your acl and mcl is alot greater....

snowbird you're a fucking IDIOT hhaha...go ask ANY knowledgable tech at a GOOD shop what the diffs are and whats better...the new bindings are stronger, lighter, more affordable which is good, and if they weren't as safe why the HELL would they produce them to be put on the world cup for racing...those guys go 120km/h+ and you think they'd ride an un safe binding??

get YOUR facts straight you fuck

yeah so how do you know this? i think you are just making shit up, you definitally havent skied them yet.

I have the titanium px12's and px14's and they kick major ass....so much better than the pivot when it comes to on snow feel...as far as releasing I can't tell a difference

actualy you are 100% wrong, the new ones are safer, even for your acl, ect... and the new design is more effective in energy transfer between boot and ski, and the old ones were actualy unsafe because the pivot can create a certain angle at which the binding requires about 2500 neutons of pressure to release which is something like a 25 DIN, and the rossi reps do surf this site and i was told that they were well aware of the concerin on this site about no more pivot but they assured me that the new deisgn is sfaer and more effective.
