2006 Line Skis

Next year's prophets were the only skis that had graphics that impressed me. In my opinion, the graphics were weak on most of the skis. But the ski construction is still looking deisel. The invader looks like a decent ski. I'm hoping that the recent move of production to China won't hurt the quality of the skis. It did make the skis price drop dramatically though. Overall, i'm looking forward to Line's new 2006 line. Looks promising.

^if you ski the east, the prophet wont be for you, even if it was made smaller by about 30 mm.

there were pics of a very small prophet on the thread about 05.06 skis and the dude that took the pic said there may be a 90 waist and it would be all mountain/park

 
i don't now the price of the prophet this year, but if it was $900, it was because only 100 were produced. I have all the prices written down in my catalog. I'll post pics and prices later.

i don't know about the prophet. i've seen them at squaw and the dude looked like he was riding a bronco or some shit with his legs 3 yards apart. but if you're looking for a prophet-sized ski I think the Volkl Sumos are pretty comparable. 125 at the waist and the graphics are much better.

 
moving china isnt a bad thing at all. it means everything costs less for line and he quality is even better. people int he US slack but in china people are poor and need money so they work hard. theres a million people to take their place so if they dont work hard they will be fired. dont think that international is bad, its better for us.

chronics look like shit. just my opinion. i've got this years, and i love the graphics. i love ths skis as well.

they should just make the chronic black with little chronic birds in white on the front, and a few skulls on the back. like, invert this season's graphics colors, and then tone them down a little. that would be sweet.

so with the all the riders leaving line are they gunna have a mid season pro model release? cuz they have build line around promodels and to only have one this year seem a bit weird. also why are they going with so many park specfic skis unless the chronic's are way stiffer this year. all in all im stoked on the graphics deffintally pimped out and the pollard pro's are the sickest graphic since this years Skogens.

People worry to much about the graphics. Yes, a ski should look cool, but its how the ski actually feels when you are skiing that counts...

 
are the smaller prophets replacing the promodels of this year, more of an all around park ski?

The Prophet line has four different waists, don't remember them exactly but it's about 130, 110, 95 and 85. The smaller Prophets are still freeride skis, not park oriented.

The new ski is the Invader and it's designed to be a park machine, alongside the Chronic and the Chronic wide.

I believe the 130 waist Prophet is around $800, but the rest of the line will decrease in cost as waist decreases.

yes the prophets are true twins but i dont think you will be landing to much switch in the backcountry that those things are made for

 
the prophets are dope, i think the second from the biggest would be a bad ass stick!

if you look in the pic of the prophets near the back of the ski, there is a white square with a number on it, thats the width of the waist or size i think that it goes 130, 100, 90, 75

Why did Line outsource to china? Even though they will save money it will take away jobs away from the people who are already working which will hurt the economy. Line used to be a hardcore ski company but now I think of them as sell outs. If they really do outsource i am not sure if i will buy another pair from them.

 
no the prophets are replacing the mothership titaniums. the actual motherships will only be the flites, so if you want the stiffer ski you're gonna have to get the prophets.
