Back in January i picked up a French Ski mag and i had a section on Candide. There was a picture of him riding what looked like spaceframe 1080s but they were white and were signature skis without all the graphics. They were plain and just had a couple of Salomon logos. Does anyone know if they are the 2004 teneightys or where you can see them?

Yeah. Except the bottom graphic. It just is black with salomon logo on the ends i think? That's what i saw at the Global X-games.

no the whole salomon logos at the end is only for the special pipe skis made for Candide and C.R. nest years 1080s have the same base i think

i wonder how many times this has to be said, that the skis are the same except for one new 151 blue teneighty. And yes, the skis CR and Candide had, that was the equivalent to a world-cup race base, or so that's what i heard. It just helped them boost higggghhhhhh

man salomon is really fallin behind in my opinion. Every other company is startin to build sick skis with sick graphics and it seems salomon just doesnt care much.

ya, i think reading from other posts on this they are testing or made a pro ski for candide, and why wouldn't they he's one of if not hte best in the world

fuck.. the 1080's graphics own in my opinion, and secondly if your buying a ski purely because the graphics you don't kno shit anyways.

If they make candide a pro model, hopefully it'll be the same ski he had at the x-games for the superpipe. But refine it a little,no woodcore please..

i think it depends on what you're doing....wood can be better, foam can be better. also depends on your skiing style, your weight....etc.

 
yeah, i've been wondering about candides white 1080's too. Maybe some sort of beta model...

salomon needs to make a ski that breaks away from the 1080 or the pr. whenever salomon comes up in the freeksing world those two skiis automatically come to mind. they need some innovation and a tottaly redesigned ski from the ground up.

no, salomon does care, they were putting out a prototype for candide and cr to test, they did that for every month this winter and spring

 
those werent his promodels, they were just a pair of skis they made for him with his name on them to help persuade him to switch over from dynastar

this years 1080s had some of the best design ideas and graphics i have ever seen.

The thing is if you are just getting into newschool or whatever, you will buy the 1080s cuz they are the biggest, most popular one. I know at my hill most people have em and they all suck.

i think this past seasons graphics were the worst graphic ever to be on a twin. The ones the season before were ok but yeah i agree that salomon should build a brand new ski from the ground up

salomon needs a good, solid, wood core set a planks and mabye id buy them. instead of the korny futuristic graphics and the shitty foam core with all this unescesary technology. salomon is becoming fucked up. LINE is still the best even if they arent the most durable and will forever rock on no matter what.

This year's teneighty's had serious durability issues. You dont randomly break several pairs of skis a year. I ski hard, but not hard enough to destroy 3 pairs in one year. Mine are like noodles, the foam core is shot. Oh how i wish they were wood core....
