2000 Saab 9-5 help

today when i started my 2000 saab 9-5 it displayed on the screen, "Service Security theft system" or something like that. anybody have any ideas what that could be and should i even worry about it?
 
i didnt pay attention to those things when they popped up, i found them to be a distraction while im driving
 
it just means that your alarm might not go off if someone were to break into your car. do you care? thats your call. my car doesnt have an alarm system, but i live in vermont, i dont really need one.
 
bring it up when you get your car serviced or whatever, talk to teh people who work there and they should be able to explain it
 
ha i just got my oil changed and an inspection yesterday. but i dont really care if my alarm is broke i guess, i live in vermont, and its not like you can steal my car with out my key anyway, because my key has to send a signal to my car before it will start
