today i was skiing on blackcomb and found a sweet spot on crystal ridge that no one had gone through yet. there was an unbelievable amount of powder and i was rippin, feeling invincible. as stupid as i was, i ended up trying to gap from a bump to a tranny, however it wasnt exactly a tranny. more like a 20 foot drop with a cat track directly below. i was fearing for my life in the air, and came down hard, hitting my head backwards. i thank god for my helmet. i was whimpering and writhing uncontrollably for a few minutes. and fuck did it hurt, my back, neck, and calves were in extreme pain. i took a shit load of tylenol and am feeling sore but not too bad now.

all i can say is look before you leap!!

yesterday i hit my head pretty good on some ice, did a 180 onto a big pile of snow and didnt know there was a drop off it, i didnt have a helmet on and aparently i was making no sense at all for a few minutes after but other then extreme pain in my neck today its all good

but yeah its deff good practice to check stuff out before you hit it

I was definitely hitting a 3 the other day and got bucked backseat and landed straight on my ass the other day on a table so i know kind of how you feel??except not really?

so true yesterday i hit this jump that was only like a 10-15 foot gap but the jump was 10 feet high and plus what i was in the air then i gaped to landing and landed flat

have u ever been to stratton? today the snow was kinda slowish so i hit the first jump and skipped the second two and went straight to the fourth ( 30, 40, 50, 60, ft jump line) and i went in to fast and almost overshot the last one...let me tell u it did nto feel good at all

ive done a 10 foot drop to flat and that killed. i can only imagin what a 20 foot drop would feel like.

I went to mount snow on saturday and Vermonster was sick a box down box hip transfer wall ride 3 30 ft tables down rail 4 butter boxs flat down rail and 2 10ft table top jumps if you tell me you cant get enough speed then why would they build all they did

I overshot the bottom jump at brighton last year by a lot and came down from about 25 feet. I know how it feels. Luckily I landed on my feet and took all the impact in the legs. Even so, it was still quite painful.

helmets are great, just make sure if they are a single impact helmet, that you get a new one once you smash your head hard. I really dont know if that would have saved my head yesterday, but all i remember was me leaving the lip and setting a spin, then sliding almost all the way to the lip of the second jump at stratton, then i felt like i was gunna boot for a while, and now im here....with a concusion

i hit a 30 to flat yesterday and well i was in the air all i could think of was hat simon dumont footage hhaha it wasnt even that bad

ouch...i hit a 30 foot gap yesterday and popped really hard cause i was trying a 9 and i overshot the jump and smashed my face into the snow...i had snow jammed in my nose and my eyes...it was not fun...i got the rotation but i was so far forward my skis both went flying off and everything..
