2 or 3 slashes in a row in edit or picture titles

Has this been occuring for a while now, or what? Who started it? Why is it so hot right now?

Examples from the last few days:

NetikFilm // Ep 1: Mark and Cody

seb & anatole // silverstar

Lucifer // Fortune

Ideal // Somebody

Mike Galdi///Spring

MK // T-LINE // 2hrs

AldenSpence//Ceremony

Keystone /// Early Spring Jibs

Tucker Addison // End of Season

Henry Hawks///Herb Shuttles

WallRide // "you f*ckin broke your ski"

The Tourist // Kory Kirby @ Brighton

Quintin Zambrano 12-13//Promotional Video

Tanner Hall//Chromatic 5.1.12

Cork 9 Tail // Sampo Vallotton

Who can find the oldest example of this?

The first that comes to mind is Lucas Brown // Exposed from last year but there must be older that I can't think of.

I've also wondered this, seen it a lot from photographers as well. I think it's just a way to separate or end parts of a title. It looks better than a comma or period. Example:

Park hot laps.

Or...

Park hot laps//

Example 2:

February, urban 2013.

Or...

February// Urban 2013

Tanner Hall//Chromatic 5.1.12

Tanner Hall,Chromatic 5.1.12

Tanner Hall: Chromatic 5.1.12

Tanner Hall- Chromatic 5.1.12

Tanner Hall ||| Chromatic 5.1.12

Tanner Hall___Chromatic 5.1.12

slashes look the best imo

I did it in an edit last year as a homage to the surface.
