Today I was listening to the morning news on the radio driving to school and i heard that PBS created this show for little kids about 2 gay rabbits that have a family and lived in Vermont, but the Dept. of Education banned the show from airing on national television and said that it could only air on Vermont public access. I guess a lot of people were offended since it took place in Vermont, etc. and there were gay bunnies. I don't know though, i think its funny that they need to make tv shows for kids about parents being lesbians.

WBGH in Boston is still going to show it, just the rest of PBS wont since its funded from the government.

thats awful..the kids need to learn abotu it sometime..may as well be in a kid friendly way..instead of teaching them in schools just introduce it into society so it becomes the norm. way to go. i hate homophobes

introducing it at a young age fucks with the kids mind, my aunt is gay, it really hurt me learning about it so young

and it seems fine for 2 girl bunnies, but i'd think there'd be more controversy if it was 2 boy bunnies.

Besides, i'm sure its not suggestive to the kids or anything...(sarcasm)

i have two gay aunts, yes both of my moms sisters are gay(not together) and its really not a good thing for little kids

i think homophobes are so annoying, closed minded people really piss me off, i mean, do you chose who your attracted to? no you dont, so all you ignorant rednecks who say that gays should not have the same rights as 'Normal' poeplefor CHOOSING, the 'wrong' way to live there lifes should really just jump off a cliff or something

 
homophobes are bad, i mean, as long as they dont do sht in front of me, but i think if they did do sumthing in front of me id freak out, but i really have no problem with them, its their decision, not ours, live with it all u homophobes out there

 
actually, it was with this character from the show Arthur, Buster the rabbit travels around meeting people who live different lifestyles...and he went to Vermont to hang out with these 2 lesbians who raise a family. and now PBS won't air it, i think its fucked up, ignoring lesbians for no reason won't make them go away or whatever, i don't see anything wrong with it, so we should let our kids know the deal at an early age.

 
Yeah lets let them deal with it at an early age. Might as well you know. While we're at it why don't we also show them gruesome pictures of what's happening over in Iraq then we can show them all the different sexual positions known to man and woman. Might as well show them at an early age. There are some things that shouldn't be introduced to kids at an early age.
