ok heres the deal, one has a broken screen the other has a broken hard drive, both 4th generation, i know you can switch screens, but i am not that talented so i dont want to screw it up, anybody want to buy them and fix it yourself?
make offers, they are both in good condition besides their respective damages, they obviously have scratches on them, but other than that, no real prablems with them, i'll post pics later tonight
yeah i'm selling both as a pair, so that anyone can remove and replace the screen so you have a perfect 20 gb, and use the other one to turn into apple as a rebate on your next purchase
they look like any other 4th generation out there... if by they, you mean ipods in general then that is your oppinion, the reason why it looks like they have scratches is becaus e the flash magnifies everything
Not so sure myself, but I think you can just send them in to Apple and they will give you a new one (maybe video) for free or cheap. I know a few people who broke their screens, sent it in, and got new ones, but I don't know if you need an insurance policy from apple or something. Just something to look into.
i dont know about the one with the broken hard drive, but i tried that with the broken screen one, but they said i would have to pay for them to fix it, maybe i'll try bringin them both in and see what they can do
ill give u 20 bucks just to see if i can try and fix them but i dont think it's something thats doable without spending a bunch of money, if anyone gives you more than 20 they arent very smart
i can fix them...well, you will get one ipod in the end. i have the tools to do it and have taken my ipod apart numerous times. If anyone wants to jump on these, i'll make them one whole ipod for you. just throw some cash at me and i'll do it.
and you can ask "315" or "creighton" about me, im legit.
well i'd pay you to fix em, i suck with technology and that area, so thats why i dont want to take me apart, i doubt its hard if you follow directions and aarent as retarded as i am
you just have to pry the metal back off the plastic front...NOT the front off the back. from there all you need is a size 6 torx screwdriver (available at sears for like 3 bucks) and some needle nose pliers. remember which connections you disconnect cuz you have to reattach them. the little black thing is a battery, the silver thing with blue around it is the hard drive, and the green thing is the circut board. just make sure you dont rip apart ribbon connectors and its easy...
...i'll do it for $20, plus the cost of shipping the iPods each way.
