2 biggest problems facing international community

So... I have to write a 300 word essay discussing the 2 biggest problems facing the world today. So far, I'm going with climate change and poverty.

Thoughts?
 
It could be different things to different people. I think I would go with poverty and violence/terrorism. Although climate change is a big problem the world has bigger problems imo
 
I think those are both pretty solid, could also look at religion. I think climate change is important because developing nations are dealing with a lot of shit thats the fault of developed nations.
 
I would pass on doing climate change, not saying it's not a problem but teachers have been reading papers about it for ten years or so now
 
A: capitalism

-provides incentive for both poverty and climate change

-poverty and unemployment is required to keep shitty jobs paying low

-monetary benefits of burning fossil fuels given to those who can extract and sell them while everyone suffers the damages of climate change without sufficient reparations

exs: cheaper to give everyone free housing compared to patchy and complicated support programs however this is not practiced; developing nations burn very little carbon but are going to have infrastructure and health loss - because the capitalists aren't paying the full cost of the product lifecycle this is unfair
