ok i just need this answered really quick. Does 1GB in an mp3 player really hold around 500 songs or is it much less. I know there's prob threads on this but i just need a real quick response.

Depends on how big the song's are. But more or less they'll hold around that much. Also would depend if the mp3 player requires them to be in some proprietary format like iPods have the .m4a sometimes. Hope this helps

It depends on the format, but you can probably get anywhere from 250-500 songs on 1GB

at 128 bitrate (pretty much standard) you can get about 250 songs.

there is no way u can get 500 on 1 gb, i barly get 800 on my 4 gb, its all about song length

yea..when ipod says that that 4gb holds 1000 they are baseing it on a vary low bitrate and that each song is between 3:30-4:00 minutes long.
