1950's sculpture

if you google rosa parks there are a few statues of her.the 50s werent super exciting though, i dont know that much about it

well if it's for an art class you should probably work ins ome history so you could go for a pop-art vibe and do something related to popular culture in the 50's.

If it can be anything related to the 50's whatsoever I would just pick something that i have interest in from the 50's. Maybe a nice car or something to do with a movie or music. I personally would create a sculpture of the lead character in Jean Cocteau's 1950 release 'orphée' (orpheus in america).

Exactly, today we are used to the idea that the technology to decimate an enemy with nuclear weapons exists, back then it was new, confusing, frightening. The power to destroy the world was now in the hands of humanity, so we, as humans and fully aware of how shitty we are, were scared shitless. Nowadays of course we know no one actually has the balls to drop one. Except for maybe North Korea, those crazy bastards.
