Soo once again just wanted to ask,to know ur opinion guys.

What dou guys think whats is better 180s and kinda style typa things or crazy tech stuff like cork 1080 and switch 1440/

What is real skiing?Crazy acrobatics stunts in park or smooth 180/360/540 relaxed flow?

And what is skiing is about ?Killin it up doin crazy shit or landing another 180 far safety in powder on tricky golf terrain?

Uh, all of the above? I'm loving the tricks that Wester and Jon and bringing to the big air scene, and I also love what the Idea crew has been doing this year. Its different, both incredibly cool and amazing in their own right. I dunno what I would want to watch more.

well we know your opinion. i think spin to win sucks but the kangaroo flip and shit like that are awesome but so are tweaked out 3s. its hard to call because on the crazy side of tricks its cool but it could get to the point where we get rid of poles and just look like those people that look like what happens when you try to make a pen do skiing tricks. in comps i like to see crazy shit but vids id rather see smooth stuff with a few crazy ass tricks

the most i like do/watch is smooth 7. i think anything higher than that is too fast and u dont have time to make it smooth and steezy. and if u make it smooth, then you can perfect it and make it look easy. so definately the 180 over the 1080.

in air style stuff is the way to go but if u bring it to the rail being tecky is better. pretzles and stuff like that and 450;s on are sicker then just sliding a rail smoothly

Big spins are fun and entertaining, but I like smooth spins smaller spins (180-720) are all sick. Yes some of you may consider a 720 big but compared to a 1440 or a 1080 it doesn't seem like anything.

if you seriously think a 180 is better than a fucking 10, your retarted

I mean style over spin only goes to an extent, anyone can make a 180 look good, very few people can do a 10

people that say say smooth 180's and 5's are just trying to hide that they cant do 1080's or 12's and stuff.

but on another side smooth tricks are just as great as hucked tricks, you just have to have a good balance of both

nobody can actually do both. nobody.

and this isn't really a debate that should be around anymore. there is so much more to it than just "ooohhhh steezy slow spins. cork 3 truck driver, baby!" and "yeah 1080 octo grabs r sosos sick."

the thing is now pros are doing 10s just as stylie as they used to do 5s and as slow off some jumps as they get bigger and bigger

pollard is pretty sick, and it's not like he can't do anything good, he just does steezy minigolf stuff soooooo well.

Seriously, though, i don't think it's black and white. Most pros can do somewhat of both.

i like style more, but if its smaller techniqual things then i like them.. like i would consider a butter into any kinda spin is techniqual but it doesnt necesarily need to be a big spin (anything over a 7)

im right in the middle id rather see a pasty 5,7,or 9 anyday over a 180 or 1080 5's are prob my favorite because there a mix of both and u can do anything with them(even luikangs!)

i didn't formulate properly. nobody wants to do both.

you have, say, mostly the entire squad of pros that are doing the same tricks everywhere, a lot of stuff they make me ashamed of.

and then you've got a few guys that have realised how shameful it is and swear to never do that sort of thing, ever.

please don't quote me. don't.

your telling me if you were judging a big air comp and someone did a fucking steezy 180, and then someone did a no grab cork 10, you would give it to the 180

you sir, are retarted

he didn't tell you anything!

straight tens are lame.

one eighties are beautiful, especially when not done with an octo fuck grab.

fuck competitions.

freeskiing has started to turn back into the "arials" crap they do in the olymics. i think slower spins over bigger gaps look better. one of the steezyest things ive ever witnessed. this guy from out of town drops in switch on his second hit of the day and throws down a switch 5 dub nose shifty. right after him another guy does a 1080 spinning like a top not quite getting the grab in. thats when it finally came to me. slower spins with technical grabs look 10 times as good as hucked out spins. i think all the 1620's and such are not that great. If anybody can do any spin over a 5 without hucking it, getting a difficult grab in and holding it, and keep it steezy in the air they have more respect from me then someone hucking a 1620

i loved peps 180 to reverse 180 (i think thats what it was) in the JOI. it was pretty sketchy but was super dope.

i like a mix. obviously double cork 10s and 12s are sick as hell. I don't care for swith rodeo630 to underflip 450 really... it's wayyyy sick to see, but doesn't allways look that sick, if someone had a whole segment of them I would skip through on a ski movie I owned.

and by that i mean all sorts of double flips. cool to see every once in a while, not all the time. I also like big floaty tricks, and probably those more than super big tricks.

yeah a one is the first trick everyone learns, while you have to be pretty good to do tens. I mean a ten over a 80 ft plus jump can have plenty of style and a huge grab. Look at Charles 10s with double grabs that is so stylish and a big spin.

first of all NOT alotta ppl can make a 180 look REALLY good, anyone can huck themselves around fr 10 but 180s are harder, especialy over bigger jumps

yes. A good mix. 1080s got boring at the 2006 X-Games, but they're such a cool trick in moderation. The same with 180s; they can look amazing (and very techy) in the right location.

do the techy stuff well and it wont look hucked and therfore its the ultimate end of discussion i am sure befor e a 5 was consideerd out of the box and probably hucked but now its a low end trick becuse we can all style it out give it 10 years 10's will be a warm up trick

hahaha do you hear yourself? of course i would take the cool 180 over an aerial. Yes they are hard, but who honestly gives a fuck how hard it is, its about how it looks.
