So I hope you guys arent forum asses who snap at people who dont search before the post .. and if so god help me I guess

aaanyway ... well i snowed a shatload in Colorado Springs and my friend and i built a ramp and kicker in my back yard and i can do a 180 now ! WOOT! Ha yeah but after doing that for like maybe 3 hours straight last night my back hurts and I was wondering

A. Is that just because of the # hours of 180 tries or...

B. Beccause im not landing right FYI when i land i just kinda lean forward and my tips hit first Im pretty sure

whew long post ...

try to land with your knees bent and suck up the impact. chances are you're landing pretty flat so no matter what you're gonna be feeling a little pain.

it's because of your mucsle are tired after landing switch all the time. and jumping. the back where you put most presure when skiing.

your muscles are probably just sore after trying something new. and fuck that kid who thinks he special, because he's #16000. this isn't aristocracy

And does anybody know how to get it to go around farther ? I prewind a little just so i have room to swing to the left but all i can squeeze out is like a 170 ... the jump is about twofeet high and the starter maybe like 15 feet above that ... they look nice but they arent complete .. thanks

yeah u can do 180s on flat ground ... im guessing the jump wasnt big and you landed on the flat ground. bend ur knees a lot

umm keep your legs barely bent and then when you hit the ground have them absorb the landing...(think like a car shock). umm if you feel yourself getting tired then just stop

Yeah i can switch on the ground skiing and uh stationary but i mean you gotta start tricks somewhere so im trying 180s .... yeha what can you do to get your spins faster ? liek work out your abs ? thighs ? buns ... lol

head and shoulders

instead of arms

instead of arms

instead of arms

head and shoulders

instead of arms

actually you can use a little bit of arm but head and shoulders mostly

your not alone man. unlike half the people on this site, i can admit that i was in your position once, and the best advice i got, was use your head, and your feet with your spin. and in terms of landing, just try different ways. one time try leaning towards your tails when your landing, so you land flatter. the best thing that works for me, is to pop off the jump, and look down at the ground, NOT back at the jump, and you will land very very squared

this is a very strange thread. Anyway, your best bet is to first get comfortable with skis on and get comfortable hitting jumps. In general, you want to avoid any flailing in the air, which will be impossible if you havent worked on the basics of skiing and jumping. Tuck those legs up a bit and turn your whole body in one fluid motion instead of spinning the 180 super fast right away then waiting to come down while you fly through the air backwards.

go to the fucking bunny hill and all day practice just jumping around to 180 (some of us call it switch). Do no take the poma, hike all day
