175, too long?

I'm thinking about getting some 175 TM's for a good price. I have skiied for 3 years, and I ski pretty fast down mostly eastern blacks, and I progress every year. I don't plan on being a park rat, and I'm 5, 9-10 and 120 ibs. Should I ski anything shorter, or is the size the best for me.

Sounds like a perfect ski if you lived out west id say a 180 or something bigger. But for east thats fine

175 is fine but if you arent a park rat you shouldnt get tm's, get some all mountain twins

All the people telling you 180 are taking into account your height, but not your weight. 175 is perfect... but TMs? Ok... I'd suggest 174 Scratch FS. But your call.

how old are you? you might gain some wieght...

^ is right anything around that 171-175 range is good, but the lighter you are the harder it is goin' to be to flex those bad boys.

Thanks for the info. I'm 16, but I weigh around 120, maybe 130 or higher. I have no clue, just a rough guess. I eat a ton, but I don't gain weight.

I just happen to know from experience that FS are fairly durable and handle well outside the park for soft skis. Do you just eat asshole flakes for breakfast, or is there some other reason you insist on being a hopeless cock? just get the 175, cause a stiffer ski is better if you want to do more than just park, plus the tms arent perticularly stiff to begin with, so a longer length wont hurt

 
I'm 5 7 and ski the 175 TM, it's a damn good ski.

Low 170s would probably be good, Lauren... I mean you can ski whatever works for you, though. You should probably just demo and see what you like best.

yeah I want like... 170's but I am kind of attached to dynastar, and trouble makers. but i'm planning on buying some chronics... so I need to start considering these things. funny though, if i had 175 Tm's they'd be exactly a foot taller than me.

Let me clarify something. What I meant by eastern blacks was the blacks in NC, short upper 30 degree range ice. I straightline the blacks that are a little flatter. I am 5, 8 and I am still growing. I need these skis to last more than a year.

If you dont want to do park i got a set of race skis they are 170s Atomic Beta Race carv 9.20s and they are faster than my dads 180s Il sell them to you for like 300
