im 6 foot 135 but i ski northern ohio (all park) on like 12 inches of snow. i can get a nuts deal on motherships in a 172. im thinking the 90mm waist would make up for the smaller length, does this make sense?

For all park, it's not to bad, considering how light you are. How much are you getting them for?

dude we live in ohio, theres no need for anything over 180. 172 might be a little bit short, but their fat skis. im 172cm tall and im gettin 178's though. your taller than me too, maybe you should go up one size

no. just no.

somewhere between 170 and 180. Around 175 would be perfect IMO. 172 would be good.

yeah, these will be good for you.

172 on a stiffer ski would be fine, but the flites are way to soft of a ski to ride that short. Im 5 foot 8 140 pounds, and am wishing i bought the 182s, or the ti's in a 172. Which you can't even get in next years model. And i ski in NY, youll just find the ski to be short especialy in icy conditions where you have to use some power edge.

a) I'm 5"4 which is about 165cms for the metric fans.

b) I ski a 169 in the park.

c) I'm buying a 175-180 ski this fall which will be used for everyday skiing on the MOUNTAINS we have here.

d) I don't think I really need to take advice from someone who lives in Ohio.

hey dipshit, i wasnt talking to you. weenox happens to live like 5 mins away from me, which is in ohio. i was giving HIM advice.

nickf, just because buying a big ski makes you feel like a big man, doesn't mean everyon else needs one too.

Some people prefer a smaller ski. A 172 would be fine for someone his size. How big of a difference is 8cm anyways? Not much.

Yeah, 8cm isnt that big of a difference. However a softer ski will ski shorter than a stiffer ski so in reality it will feel like alot more than 8 cm.
